Thank you so much for posting that. I have been wondering the same thing for a while, so it's nice to have a solid answer to that nagging question.

No picture, unfortunately. Whenever I think about purchasing a camera, I always undermine myself by going out and buying fabric instead.  Roll Eyes

All of them look fantastic, but I'm inspired by the Butterick 4796 dress. I love the design. How difficult was it to make, if you don't mind me asking?

Howdy! I've been sewing for many years but only recently have ventured into using patterns. What can I say, all that tissue paper and long instructions can be a wee bit intimidating! I've mastered skirts, but without an appropriate top to go with it, they just sat about collecting dust. So, terrified and apprehensive, I attempted a shirt.
I used 'C' because it looked easiest and I loved the look. It took about eight hours total, from cutting the patterns out to hemming the bottom. The directions were straight-forward and easy to understand, but because the top was constructed of only six or  seven pieces, you can easily figure out what to do without the instructions. This pattern should be a staple in everyone's pattern collection. It's so versatile and open to customization.
Highly recommended!
