23  Re: RHPS Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by chelsiesawks on: August 09, 2008 12:23:06 PM
I will be the first to post pictures!!!
This is from my partner TwistedTruth...
She spoiled me rotten! She made me have the best first swap experience!!
So here is te wonderful things she made!!!!
First a shot of everything... A frankie doll, a canvas bag that says "I see you shiver with antici...pation!", a box of participation items, a needlebook, a cross stitch, chopsticks for my fiance and I with personalized cases and a boa scarf!

My Frankie doll!

Next the coolest cross stitches!! (She makes the patterns herself!)
A needle book and ornament...

A participation box with everthing needed for an RHPS show!!!!!! Maybe if I take this with me for my first show no one will expect I'm a virgin! lol

The back has a list of when to use everything!

I would have put up more pics but my fricking camera started acting up!
Thanks so much TwistedTruth!!

24  Kim Carnes drawing in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by chelsiesawks on: August 09, 2008 10:22:02 AM
Ever since I heard the song "Bette Davis eyes" I have been in love with Kim Carnes!
I googled her and saw a picture I couldn't resist drawing...
I modified it to make her looking more up instead...
The beautiful Kim Carnes,

And below is the link to the picture I used as my reference...

25  I wanted to make something ugly in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by chelsiesawks on: August 04, 2008 11:34:35 PM
Instead of drawing something beautiful... I wanted to draw something ugly...
You know, be unconventional...
But I wanted it to be so ugly that it was beautiful..I think I accomplished that...
What do you think?

26  Watermelon, baby hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by chelsiesawks on: August 04, 2008 03:55:05 PM
I know I'm not the first to come up with this ingenious idea but I just love it!
A hat that looks like a watermelon...
This is also for my soon to be niece, Kiya...
I just crocheted the whole thing and then used black fabric paint to paint on the "seeds"...

A put the hat on a candle to dry and for the pics of course!

27  Light switch covers, revamped!!! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by chelsiesawks on: August 04, 2008 03:51:47 PM
I love to decorate anything I can....I mean everything...So the light swith covers had to be painted and decorated!!
First, my brothers cover..
He's a big fan of wrestling....So what other than the WWE logo!

I used acrylic paint and painted the screws to match!
Next mine...Purple is my favorite color plus I have tons of beads that I don't use that often....
So what other than a 2 hour project of sticking every single bead on with glue by hand! That sounds like fun, right? lol

You can't see it so well but the glass beads are really sort of metallic and in a pattern... I was also lucky enough to have the perfect shade of nail polish to paint the screws to match!!
Thanks for looking!

28  Medusa, my dress form in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by chelsiesawks on: August 01, 2008 11:21:17 AM
I got inspired by all of the duct tape dress forms I've been seeing and decided it was time for me to make one myself!! I had my mom help wrap me up and it took about 1 hour and a half... What a great memory to make! lol
Believe me... this is very tiring.... I started to get really hot and my back started to hurt.  Once my mom wrapped my arms I started to go numb! Then I still had to wait for her to do the last layer...
On with the pictures!
While in the process...
Naked Medusa...

Medusa in her lovely bra and panties (which works very well with my clothes since one of the breasts caved in! lol... Plus it just maes i nice and smooth under clothes)

And in the green shirt!
And both of us... Can't you see the likeness?

I'm really excited about how it came out!! It's the perfect measurements and works so well. Now I just need a stand!

Oh and for the curious, the name came from RHPS...You know in the "Planet, Schmanet, Janet"... Where Magenta hits the "Medusa" switch for Frankie...And Colombia, Dr.Scott, Brad, Janet and Rocky turn into stone....
Yeah I'm a dork I know....

29  Yet another... Doggie sweater! in Crochet: Completed Projects by chelsiesawks on: July 31, 2008 11:49:57 AM
I honestly think one of these days Berkley is going to get sick of me playing dress up with him!
This is the best thing I've made for him yet!
This one I actually used a pattern for and it fits him like a glove!
On with the pictures!

Some one really needs to take my camera away!

30  First wearable Baby clothes! IMG OBESE! in Crochet: Completed Projects by chelsiesawks on: July 28, 2008 12:11:39 PM
Being so excited for the impending birth of my first niece, Kiya, has started a crocheting frenzy...Before I made the blanket (which you can view on my profile) I made these cute little things!
First the red set... A dress and diaper cover with cute littleMary Jane's! I hope she can fit this for Christmas because it's the perfect shade of RED!
The dress!

The back, which has sort of a key hole opening!

The diaper cover...

The butt..

Close up of Mary Jane's...

All together...

And then the white and salmon sweater/cardigan...
Front...I love the ties at the neck!

What do you think?
