Details of swap:

This is an ongoing swap: Claim an item from the list of the last person who posted and post your own list in response. It makes a chain. When we get to the end of the month, the very last person to post a list will be the first person to post a list at the beginning of the next month.

Do not post in this thread until you are approved for the current round and ready to make a claim. All discussion needs to be kept in the discussion/gallery thread.

The size of the claim should be a medium item. This means 2 or more crafting hours (this is not cooking time, drying time, etc.. waiting around for something to set up.......it is craft time for the average crafter) or supplies worth at least $20.

For claims: 1st time swapper 1 claim (until package is in transit with proof). Regular Swapper 2 claims (until package is in transit with proof)Friend of Craftster 3 claims (until package is in transit with proof)

Its not required but highly encouraged to post regularly in the discussion thread. This is so we know youre still around and it can also be fun  Wink

Ongoing Wish Claim Limit:
Friend of Craftster: Three
First time swapper: One
Everyone Else: Two

If you are a friend of craftster you can have 3 ongoing claims open at a time and no more than 6 total claims open (open meaning in transit as well as not yet received) no matter how many have been posted. As an example, You claim 3 times, send all 3 claims out, then claim 3 more times. Even when you send any or even all of those 3 claims, you can not claim again until a claim has been received.

If you are not a friend of craftster, you can have at most 2 claims ongoing and 4 claims total between ongoing and in transit.

If this is your first swap, You can have at most one claim in transit and one claim ongoing.

Please keep in mind that DC#'s are required for all US to US claims and receipts are required for all international claims. If you can not provide a receipt and the item does not arrive you will need to resend the claim.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About Wish lists and Claiming:
Please include your claims status: How many claims you have made in total, how many are in transit and how many have been received by their intended recipients.
Please start off with a quick introduction that includes your country and any allergies you have.
When claiming please pay close attention to your partners hope list and allergies, likes, dislikes etc.
Have your list including  10 medium crafted items AND 10 supply items ready before making your swap claim (the more you have, the better your chance of getting claimed quickly).  Add misc items such as tea, candy.... If the swap slows down and your list is up for a full week without being claimed please add a few wishes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ABOUT SENDING AND RECEIVING...

1)  PM the organizer when sending and receiving! Please include the name of the swap (including the round) and the due date of the claim.
I.E.  Sally ----> Suzy for a pink pony saddle due out Jan 1

2) When you send to the person you have claimed, you MUST PM the organizer with the delivery confirmation # or if you are outside the US, you need to either PM the customs number on your receipt from the post office or upload a copy of your post office receipt.

3) When you receive a claim, you MUST PM the organizer so she can update the main list.

4) Feedback will be given once all of your packages have been received.

5) Please post pictures in the discussion thread when you receive so you can make us all jealous and give thanks to whomever claimed you (this is just good swapping etiquette). If you will not be able to post pictures please let your claimer know asap so that they can take pictures before sending.

15  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Comfy Cozy Rag Quilt ~ flannel, thrift store sheets, and cotton on: August 18, 2013 10:31:31 AM
This is my first ever rag quilt and I couldn't be happier  Cheesy I used up a lot of my flannel stash to make it. Each section has three layers; the back is either an old sheet or cotton fabric, the middle is flannel, and the top is more flannel. I kept the front flannel and the back cotton/sheets, except for the border which is the opposite so each side looks more finished  Smiley I wanted the flannel side to look as random as possible so each strip is made with multiple colors/patterns. But the back is done with long strips that are the same fabric from end to end, then shuffled around a bit.

Here's the front:

Back:

And corner close-up:

The blanket is big enough to wrap around me and makes for the perfect movie cuddle blanket  Smiley Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Birthday Date Book Swap, with fellow Craftsters' B-Days included on: September 15, 2011 03:53:25 PM
So this might not be a great idea, but I just thought about it and I kinda like it. Would love to know other thoughts as well!

The idea of the swap would be to trade Birthdays and addresses with everyone in the swap (done through PM, not posted publicly). Partners would then craft/decorate a date/address book including all the Birthdays and addresses, and maybe an extra small crafted item for extra fun (Birthday cards, hand carved stamps, ATC, or other crafted item). The swap would only require the address book and one other small item. The bonus would be that you might get Birthday cards from fellow Craftster members on your Birthday Cheesy It would be too impossible to make sending Birthday cards a requirement, but I think it would be fun to be able to  Smiley I know I've made quite a few craftster friends and if I had their Birthdays and addresses organized I would love to be able to send them a B-Day card  Smiley

What do you think? Too crazy? Everyone signing up would have to be comfortable with sharing their address and Birthday with a large number of "strangers"
17  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / FOUND ~ 1 Angel FOUND for Inchie Secret Swap! Super Easy! on: December 14, 2010 11:02:49 AM
Angel FOUND! Thank you thelastkodama  Cheesy

I need one angel for the Inchie Secrets swap We have one set of inchies MIA so you will only be crafting 10 inchie secrets for one partner. I would love to get someone that can have these sent out in a week or less but will allow for two weeks max. If you want to make more than 10 inchies for this partner that would be amazing since she has been waiting for quite a while (but this is in no way necessary). You will be sending to the US and no DC# is required.

Please visit the gallery if you need some ideas.

Basic details of the swap:
Details of swap:
Post Secrets meet Inchies!
In this swap we will be writing and/or drawing our secrets and then cutting them up and turning them into inchies. Your partners will know who the inchie secret is from, the twist is they will not know what the secret is  Wink Everyone will be receiving pieces of a secret puzzle. It is up to you how much of your inchies shows your secret, maybe each inchie has one word cut out of a page, maybe it shows more? As long as your secret is used to create your inchies anything goes. Give yourself some crafty therapy and be creative!

Because most inchies can be sent in an envelope for no extra postage we will not be requiring DC #s for this swap. Instead you will be required to resend if your inchies go missing.

Brainstorm of ideas:
~ Type or hand-write your secret
~ Practice calligraphy
~ Write your secret in a foreign language
~ Write a letter to someone that has hurt you
~ Fill a page with one secret, or many
~ Send each partner pieces of the same secret, or mix them up between partners
~ Use index cards as a base
~ Draw/color over your secret before cutting it
~ Cut your secret into inch squares
~ Cut your secret into interesting shapes to put on your ichies
~ Cut single words/small phrases out of your secret
~ Embellish your inchies with items/images that relate to your secret or the words shown

Please PM me with any questions or if you can angel. Thanks!!!
18  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / My first stamps! Quite nerdy :) on: November 24, 2010 09:49:13 AM
I am so happy that I finally caved and bought a stamp carving kit! Last night I took it out and made myself a Pi stamp and this morning I sketched out the infinity love design and thinking it might fail, but wanting to try anyway, I made it into a stamp too!  Cheesy I know they are not perfect, but I am incredibly proud of myself right now  Smiley

Progression of the Pi stamp:

First stamping of the Infinity Love:

Finished Infinity Love, with a quarter for size reference:

And some fun tags I made with the Infinity Love stamp  Cheesy

I am so happy because now I don't have to go crazy looking for a specific stamp design, I can just make my own!  Cheesy I have been dreaming about a nerdy tag collection for my etsy shop, and now I'm almost there  Smiley

Any thoughts/critiques welcome! And if anyone knows how to mount stamps I'd love to know!

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
