1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / This is #6 on: January 19, 2012 09:06:24 AM
I painted this last night. I know it has a lot of room for improvement, but I enjoyed it. Does anyone know why my photo goes landscape when I post it, even tho I rotated it in my photo software?

Go figure it stayed upright! Anyone know why it sometimes goes landscape?Huh?

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Shower cap gifts. on: December 22, 2011 05:23:58 AM
Well, I am done and still 3 days til Christmas!! I took the shower caps I made to make the holder, then added things like hand soap, bath jell, manicure sets, body spray (which are items I picked up on sale and with coupons) tied them with ribbon and stuck in a scrubby.  I will wrap them in cello before I give them as a gift. I hope the girls like them.

Comments welcome.
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My first painting class. on: December 07, 2011 07:04:35 PM
I am not an artist but I have always wished I could paint. I took my first painting class to day and this is what I came home with. I have a way to go, but it sure was fun.

As you can tell, my photography isn't professional either.
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / I went a little over board with these shower caps. on: December 04, 2011 06:24:05 PM
I have been making shower caps for Christmas. I kept seeing more and more fabric that I thought would make a pretty cap. Now I have 9 or 10 completely made, 11 to add elastic to and 5 to sew up.  Since I only needed 5 for gifts, I think I better finish what I have started and quit.

This is how I am packaging the caps for Christmas Gifts. I place a small cardboard circle in the bottom of the cap, added some toiletries then tied it up with ribbon. I will wrap completely with Cellophane and tie it up with a bow.
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / A few of the Shower Caps I made for Christmas Gifts on: November 20, 2011 06:28:19 PM
I am always hunting for something to give as gifts to the young ladies in my family. I know gift cards are always an option but not very personal. So this year I am making shower caps and putting them together with bath or nail supplies and attaching a gift card to their favorite restaurant or store. Hope they like them.

8  COOKING / Dessert / Maddy's Birthday cake and push-ups on: November 13, 2011 06:53:49 PM
I don't seem to be improving much but the kids like it and I have fun with it.

9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / My first clay project on: October 02, 2011 09:43:54 AM
I bought polymer clay a few years ago but never got around to doing anything with it. I got it out the other day and it had dried out. I worked water into it. It made the clay a little sticky. But I tried to make a face on a terracotta pot. This was what I ended up with. I have a long way to go but it is a start.
