1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Resin: flowers, sprinkles and shells on: July 23, 2009 08:38:00 AM
Some resin casts.

simple yellow flower in a resin mold. I have been wearing this one a lot working retail and i constantly get comments on it. Most people get stuck on the fact that its a real flower =)

Shells and sprinkles:

it looks like a tear drop when on....

C&C greatly appreciated Smiley
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Frames? on: July 01, 2008 08:37:33 PM
I just got a quick question....

I want to make a necklace with a frame, but I don't know how....

I found this site: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8003303

but i want an actual store store lol
And I love the frame, I think its a label frame. is that right? Does anyone know where to buy it....

Or any other ideas of what  i could use as a frame.

3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / I finally got a yellow flower cane (plus some food items) on: June 30, 2008 09:01:42 PM
I've been trying to get a workable cane for the last few weeks and every
time no matter how they look before hand, they are all messed up once I reduce.... and I finally got a cane to look how I wanted!!! YAY Grin

I made a yellow flower cane (and the 'messed' up ends of the middle are being made into earrings) so without further ado....

the finished reduced cane

The "messed" up end piece... I think it looks cool 3-d

The cane that I cut so far, The oval white things are going to become earrings, they are the ends of the middle piece cane.

And then some other stuff:

Cane cover thumb-tacks

Sushi tray

An earlier cane, I used a shrinkidink from a lilbiskit as the middle Smiley

Feedback is greatly appreciated!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / first dress.... i did something wrong on: June 12, 2008 09:46:43 AM
So I attempted to make my first dress, or more so, my first skirt with matching top .... cept I think I did something wrong, or it just looks wrong or... I need help. Pretty Please.

Its a basic circle skirt with a fitted top.... I made the top piece out of a rectangle and scrunched up the middle, but it wasn't sitting nicely so I added more fabric to the sides and now the fabric is flopping all over the place and I don't know how to get it to be more fitted.

AND does the dress even look okay.. Its reminding me of a bathing suit (And that was not what I was going for :/)

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Resin (and resin questions) on: June 05, 2008 10:51:09 AM
So I decided to start resin, my first attempts came out well, but there are a few issues that I'm confused about.   I did a 2-layer resin with seashells and sprinkles in between the two layers.  I waited until the back was fully dry and tried to pop them out, but some of the resin stayed on the mold and the tops of them were sticky.... so I left them to dry, but on some of them you can tell where the resin got rubbed from being taken from the mold and on the mold is some resin residue that I can't figure out how to fix.  Anyone got any advice?

On to the photos Smiley

Group photo

A flower, My favorite one.

And the back of the flower.

Now these are all smugged on top from the mold. Any ideas?

And this is the mold, and the shiny spots are left over resin. How do I get rid of it?

Thanks.  Any Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Frogs and Flowers bags with pics on: January 28, 2008 03:14:07 PM
I haven't sewed since middle school, but my roomie needed a new tote bag so I decided to try.  It actually came out pretty well for my first time (I think).  I combined a regular tote bag tut with a Jordy bag bottom.

And then, i decided to make a tote bag for myself.  Books fit in it horizontally. It has one handle, pleats and a jordy bottom.  I managed to make a pocket with a zipper inside of it, but its not that neat looking.

detail of the top.

The froggie bag. Her favorite color is green and no one is every too old for froggie print Smiley

feedback is more than welcomed.  I'm still figuring this all out.

Oh, and I hope the photos and everything is correct, let me know if I messed something up, please.
does any one know why my photos are so small? did i upload something wrong?
