thank you thank you! Kiss

The photography credit goes to my boyfriend, who took the photos with his new Nikon D40. We were walking through Central Park when we saw this spot with the light filtering through the trees so nicely and decided to take photos there.

Thanks guys!

Shining Star, I wish I was talented enough to translate French knitting patterns. I bought the English version of the booklet, which was #468 for Spring 2007. It's still available on their website.

I am so so happy with this vest! It took a long time to knit, but it was totally worth it.
This was my first Phildar pattern, and it was so clear and well written.

The pattern is from Phildar #468 from Spring 2007. I used 3 skeins of Catalina baby alpaca. No modifications. I really like the drapey, oversized fit of it.

Thanks for looking!

Wow everybody! Thanks for all the nice words! Especially about my legs, which I am so self-conscious of! I think I am going to try to find some really opaque tights, preferably without that crotch panel that I would be exposing.

Kitty Creates: The location is the deck of my apartment in San Francisco. Too bad I'm moving out in 2 weeks.

fabulous! looks a lot like the scarf on the cover of last years vogue holiday issue. the braiding on that pattern is so complicated- I'm impressed you figured it out by yourself. love it!

Thank you so much for all the super nice comments!

was it difficult ?
Not at all. The knitting was simple and straight forward. I also really liked the armhole shaping- really clever and simple. The finishing may have been the most tedious and tricky part. I did have to do a couple rows of sc crochet around the neckline.
How long did it take you ?
This didn't take too long to knit. I think the front and back pieces took about 4 days each of dedicated knitting, while the sleeves may have taken about 2 hours each. All in all, 2 weeks of knitting, 2 weeks to find the right buttons, so about a month from start to finish. Also, I used a larger needle size for the ribbed skirt section to make that part go by a little faster.

Very impressive group! Shocked

I especially love the yoke vest!

This pattern is the Ribbed Minidress by Mari Lynn Patrick from the Vogue Spring/Summer 2007 issue. I used 6 skeins of Koigu KPM for the small size. I modified to make it shorter, but I guess I went too far. This is more of a tunic/shirt than a dress now. I loved working with the Koigu KPM and am pretty happy with how it turned out, although I might pick up the hem stitches to make it a bit longer.

Thanks for looking!
