Ok, so it's 1986 and I'm twelve years old. Along with millions of other 12 year olds at the time, I am a little obsessed with River Phoenix. When the Mosquito Coast comes out, I go to see it in the theater even though the only thing that is remotely interesting in it as far as I'm concerned is River Phoenix. I notice that Martha Plimpton's in it - she was in the Goonies, that's kind of cool! And then, suddenly, out of nowhere, she says this:

And I'm like, what? Huh? What?
So I think maybe I heard her wrong. It doesn't make sense to my 12 year old brain at all - but I can't get it out of my head.
So time goes by and the movie comes out on VHS. Even though I didn't really care for the movie, I rent it. The first thing I do when I have the VCR to myself is fast-foward to that scene and hit play. Is that what she said? Rewind. Play. Rewind. Play.

Yup. That's what she said. So anyway, this was some sort of therapy for me. I think I'll hang it up in the guest bathroom.
And yes, I'm weird. Sorry.
