1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: at home, all natural self-tanner: coffee grounds! on: February 27, 2005 07:45:44 AM
Wink I've been using a coffee ground and olive oil scrub on my butt and upper thighs to diminish cellulite. The areas I'm using it on are much firmer and less dimpled but there is no visible change in color. I'm kind of glad since it would be weird to have a tan only on my butt and nowhere else.

:)I love this idea.  I'm in whenever you get it started.  You could fit all kinds of crafty helpers in there--like buttons, thread, needles, stitch markers, tiny tubes of superglue, beads--oh the possibilities are infinite!

Susan Powter lives in my town.  She is completely insane and now has multicolored dreadlocks. A little FYI Wink

Wink As soon as I get paid again I'll try this.  I've been wanting that S & B cardigan for some time. I've made tha Hot head hat, some scarves, and arm warmers so I guess it's time to venture forth into new territory. I'll let you all know when I hit the yarn store!

Wink I really want to do this but do not want a tube top.  Perhaps I'll knit along but with another pattern.

EmbarrassedHi, I need to quit smoking, but as you can see by my graphic, am a little terrified of the ensuing psychological ill health I'll suffer without my trustry mood modifiers (or cigarettes) However, I must try it. It is time and I don't want those wrinkles around my mouth that old lady smokers get--Ewww!

 Wink Hi,
I'm a newbie knitter myself and haven't tackled knitting in the round yet.  Mine look awesome and I just did a rib knit (K2 P2) and sewed them up, leaving a thumb hole when I was done. I get mad compliments on them and they were so easy.  I wouldn't recommend ripping and beginning again.

Wink Let me know if you start another one of these.  I make some great bath salts and body scrubs.

Smiley Even though I am a knitter, I would not appreciate it at all if my students knit in class.  I teach writing classes.  How can they write if they are knitting?  Maybe it would be appropriate in a lecture class, but then, how would you take notes?  Knitting is a leisure time activity--for in between, not in class.
