12  Fabric Playhouse in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by missgabbielynn on: March 10, 2009 02:25:25 PM
I made this fabric playhouse for a claim in COWS (Children's Ongoing Wish Swap) a while ago, but forgot to post it over here.

Here is a link to the tutorial I used:    http://uklassinus.blogspot.com/2008/08/fabric-dollhouse-tutorial.html
She also has a pic of a fabric barn she made using this pattern also with some alterations.  CUTE!!!

Here is the house, from the front, with ribbon handles.  I did all the embroidery myself, and the windows and door felt hand sewn on as well.

Opened you can see the inside of the house, as well as the green garden, yard area.

13  Ron Burgundy Doll!! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by missgabbielynn on: March 10, 2009 02:20:31 PM
I made this doll for a swap partner who loves Will Ferrell.  She wanted one to cuddle with, this....the ron burgundy doll.

I ended up using the pattern by Emily Martin (on Martha Stewart webpage) for the black apple doll, and tweeking it a little for this doll.  I had no pattern for the clothing and simply winged it.  I thought it came out pretty cute and my swap partner LOVED it.  LOL

Here is Ron Burgundy with my son, just before we shipped him out.  (My son, Noah, cried when I packaged him to leave.  I had to tell him he was going in the packing bag or sleeping bag as well called it to go to sleep.  LOL  I need to make him one now)

14  Cross Stitched Burp Towel for New Baby in Needlework: Completed Projects by missgabbielynn on: March 10, 2009 11:41:06 AM
Hey all.  I have been cross stiching and doing embroidery work for several years now, but this is my first post in this board.  I have an adopted sister (I adopted her, but it isn't legal) Kara, and she and her hubby are expecting their first child in April.  I am throwing her a baby shower with the help of her sister on March 14th and wanted something homemade and special to give her for the baby.  They already know it is a boy and have picked out his name, so why not something personalized!!!

I love making these little burp towels and when I flipped through my patterns and saw this one, I knew I had to do it with his name on it!  I hope they like it!  I am also going to embroidery some sublime patterns (the yummy and yucky veggies) on some bibs for the little guy as well.

What what do you guys think???

15  Re: Help Me Loose Weight Swap in The Swap Gallery by missgabbielynn on: March 10, 2009 11:29:24 AM
I love it!!! The bath towels and soap...mmm....I bet those smell so great!

And I adore the wall hanging thingy with all the pockets!!!  A little note for each pound you loose??? WOW!!  A gitft that keeps giving!  And the bag.....so cute....love love the fabric!!!

Here is what I received from unjugetito yesterday!!!  (She has had a hard few weeks dealing with life and sickness and decided rather than send me a project she didn't have time to properly finish she would spoil me with a few things she picked out on Etsy for me.  I loved what she hand picked for me!)

First a hand bound (is this coptic stitch??? I don't know the lingo or the craft much, but I love this book!!  OMG!!) scrabble tile notebook:
(Sorry I was just too damn lazy to flip the photo. LOL)

The mailman went to his truck and then found a tiny package with this inside of it about 5 minutes later:
a pair of m& m earrings.  LOL  Awesome.  My partner said I can wear them when I think I want something sweet, but I really shouldn't indulge.  How perfect!!

Thanks for everything!!!  I adore both items!!!
PS You items will be in the mail tomorrow!!!

16  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 44 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by missgabbielynn on: March 07, 2009 10:44:35 AM
I received two paperbag scrapbook recipe books from mommythemaid.  She stalked me good, because they are in my favorite color combos (red/turquoise and pink/brown) and some of my favorite things to make and eat (cupcakes and bento).  I love them both, and have been wondering how to make one, so now I know!!  LOL  Plus there are some YUMMY recipes I am going to try!   BTW, she had the cute idea to include some of the frosting recipes inside the pocket of the brown paper bag.

And now for the pics:  (these are the first two recipes I want to try!!  Key Lime....YUMMO!!  My favorite)

I love the felt foods (those burgers are adorable), and those menus!! OMG...what an adorable idea.  How cute.

So here is what I received today....some cupcake goodness inspired by my wist from missmuffcake:
She embroidered the cupcake and then framed it with some lovely dots in the background (which I love by the way).  I think it is mayb 4x4....tiny but packed with cupcake goodness.  I really love it.

Glad you like him pinupmommy.  LOL  I loved making him...it was really fun.  And my son Noah now needs a boy doll.  He hugged Will several times for me while making his clothes.  LOL  He cried when I had to send him!!!
Here are a few pics of my little guy, with your little guy right before packaging him for shipping!

Love the cross stitch and all the wonderful cards!!  (I love the cow...he he he)

That monster type bag is so cute, and looks so soft and cuddly at the same time.

And that is the prettiest tree of life pendent I have seen yet.  I think I say that everytime I see one...blue, green, red...I love them all.  But those shades of green are so beautiful

Now, down to the goodies and pictures:::::::

I received a wonderful package of wisty jewelry from Feast Your Eyes a few days ago.  I wasn't able to post because of dead batteries.  AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  But here it is now!

First of all....(and my MOST FAVORITE piece of jewelry now aside from my wedding ring) a gorgeous bracelet:

On me:

(These pictures honestly DO NOT do the jewelry justice.  It is soooo damn awesome!)

And what I thought was a button bracelet in the package until I started pulling it out and realized it is a necklace. OMG!!!  I squealed when I realized that!!!

Close up of the buttony goodness:

And here are a few .....just because.  LMSO  My son Noah looking over my goodies.

Great stuff missmuffcake!!!  I love the cards especially.

Ok everyone, I completely got spoiled by my partner selena_ski.  I received a few days ago but was unable to post because of dead batteries!  UGH!

Here is the goodies all together:

Some cupcake magnets...she sent two.  I only took pics of one. (the magnets fell off in shipping, but I glued them back on...no biggie)

A pic of the cute little cupcake she made me!  I love it!

A painting she did herself entitled:  The Anatomy of a Cupcake  (so stinking cute)
In case you can't read the writing in this pic:  pointers and words are: cherry on top, sweet fluffy frosting, sprinkles, moist spongey cake, paper wrapper

And a altered composition book with cupcakity goodness!  I love it and will use it as my swap journal from now on!!!  YIPEE!

She also sent a ATC cupcake card on a disc for me since her printer wasn't working.  But since my printer is only black and white, I didn't print it out just yet.  I am not sure how to show you all that, but it is super cute.

Thanks for everything selena-ski.  I had a blast being partner with you and I love everything.
