1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Watermelon circle rag quilt (a bit img heavy) on: March 05, 2008 07:35:07 PM
Thank you all for the nice comments!
Laughing Cat - I didn't even know what cathedral window quilts were until you mentioned it! I looked it up thought and wow, those are beautiful quilts! I used a different (and simpler) technique though than the one I saw for cathedral windows. But I must say, I was super impressed and will definitely have to try it! Thanks for the idea!

I am so in love with this project! I saw the original in the book, but yours looks much better! For some reason the clutch in the book looks abnormally large. Anyways, congrats! I hope to make it soon!

Hi all! This is my first official post...I hope you like it! This is one of the first quilts I made as a sophomore in high school. I used flannel because I have always loved the softness of it...and I chose the colors because pink/green is my favorite color combo! When I get around to it I'll post some of my "real" quilts, but my college schedule is a bit demanding. Here are the pics:

Thanks for looking!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Hanami Orchids - the resin puzzle on: January 03, 2008 09:48:40 PM
Hi! So I've been reading up on resin and it sounds fun and challenging! I was wondering if anyone has tried preserving real, fresh flowers in resin. I would really LOVE to replicate this (yes, I'm a copycat!)! Anyone have any tips? Please?

Here is the site, check it out!!!

Aren't they GORGEOUS?!
Thanks in advance for all your help!
