I agree, supercute on all three.  (Having a supercute model doesn't hurt, does it?)  I can't pick a favorite!  I do like your munchkin's choice of accessory, though: a Hello Kitty band aid makes every outfit complete!  (My daughter loves them too.  Smiley)

It's so neat to see these!

Gene Shepherd is a friend of mine, and the pastor of my church.  He is considered one of the premier rug hookers in the U.S. (along with Jane Olsen, who is also goes to my church.)  I'm working on my first rug hooking project now.

Anyone who's interested in learning how to hook might be interested in Gene's website: www.geneshepherd.com.  He and Jane worked together on The Rug Hooker's Bible and a new second book on three-dimensional rug hooking, called Prodding.  (I'm not trying to be all salesman-y.  I don't get anything from this, just think it may be helpful to anyone interested in trying this type of work!)

Thanks for sharing these!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sock dolls from dollar store socks on: March 24, 2009 11:33:09 PM
So cute, and I love that they've all got unique personalities!  Bruno is my favorite, although they're all great.

How come I never see dollar store socks in decent colors?  They're always neon pink when I go!  LOL!

Great idea to repurpose that tank!  And, hey, I have that Big Boy bank too.  (At least I think I still have it somewhere.)  I used to waitress at Big Boy when I was in college, so it was a souvenir!

Thanks for the idea.  I'm actually hoping my fish will die sometime soon.  Not that I'm doing anything sinister to hasten it along, I just feel done with fish.  But, naturally, I have the world's most hearty fish.  I think they get out of the tank at night and feed themselves and clean their own tank or something . . .

It reminds me of Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events.  It looks like something his girlfriend Esme would wear!  It's really great; thanks for sharing it!

Mmmm, those look tasty!  Gotta go check if I've got spinach . . . nope, but it's on my list now.  Thanks for sharing these.  I can't wait to try them!
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Hoops and Yoyo! on: February 07, 2009 01:34:25 AM
So cute!  I made a felt Hoops and Yoyo set for my kids last year, but I didn't post them.  Now they're too ratty-looking and played with to post!

Thanks for sharing yours!  I love the tail, and the expression on Yoyo!
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Teal Dining Room (with a side of silver Christmas and a motherload of photos on: January 13, 2009 05:14:46 PM
Wow, you guys did such a fabulous job!  I have a deep appreciation for how much work went into it by the way.  My husband and I have flipped houses, the first of which was pretty much a rebuild of a 1921 California bungalow (hmm, I should post pictures of that!).  We did almost all the work on that flip ourselves, so I feel ya!  It always amazes us what we uncover when we start to take things apart on old homes.  I can't tell you how many times we've just turned to each other and said, "What the hell were they thinking?"   Cheesy

I love the teal color, and your Christmas decorations look so amazing in there!  But I have to ask: are you planning to get new dining room furniture now?  Your table and chairs now look too casual for the fabulousness that is the rest of the room.  I know grandpa made you new legs for the table; maybe the table would be okay painted and with different chairs?  (Ikea has cool black chairs for only $20 I think!)

Anyway, I don't mean to nitpick. It really is an amazing transformation.  You are right to be proud!

Ooooooo! What a great idea, and so pretty!  I didn't know Ikea sold window cling stuff.  What department is it in?

I love, love, love these!  Can't wait till I have some time to do this with my kiddos--my five-year-old has a passion for zip ties, so this will be right up her alley!

Thank you for posting this, and for giving such an awesome tutorial!
