1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Giant Coppertone Andy Warhol shirt into cute summer dress? on: June 20, 2008 04:25:19 PM
I have this enormous Coppertone shirt with a great picture on it! It's only been washed once and the image looks great. I've seen lots of giant shirts made into cute summer dresses, unfortunately I'm afraid the placement and size of the image on this shirt might be awkward for making a dress... Any ideas?
I also have this streched out (once fitted) nice color blue shirt I'm willing to destroy.

Awesome image right?
Sorry about the wrinkles... it's been in the drawer a while.

Just to show you how HUGE the shirt is....
2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Will temporary tattoos transfer to glass? on: March 25, 2008 01:48:40 PM
I tried one on a compact mirror- just a piece of the tribal design and didn't like how the film around the tattoo reflected on the glass. I also tried over an oil painting on a cardboard box. It looks like the tattoo aheared best there.

But now the question remains....

3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Will temporary tattoos transfer to glass? on: March 24, 2008 07:21:41 PM
Today I bought New Moon by Stephanie Meyer and inside are these beautiful temporary tattoos.
And well, since I feel I'm a little old to be wearing temporary tattoos- and hate the idea of using them once and never seeing them again is it possible that I could some how transfer them to glass?
Maybe to a mirror or a jewlery box?
Some sort of glass surface?

If not, does anyone have any better ideas for me?
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: iPoptart on: March 01, 2008 11:24:36 PM
CUTE!! how much felt did you get to make it? Those little squares or big sheets? Could you possibly give a tutorial? I love this!

I have so many iPod cozies I'm dying to make. I think it would be weird to have 5 and only use 1 though. maybe im just weird.

As you wish- hereeee's the tut!

I used the little 9x12(?) squares. You don't need any more than that.

Ah, and that's not weird. I got at least 3 cozies hehee.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / iPoptart now with TUTORIAL! on: March 01, 2008 08:07:35 PM

Annnd then I got on craftster and saw that it had already been done  Undecided

Oh well.

Here's mine and I was just dying to show it off!

I plan on doing WildBerry next!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Sewing-Machine Class Ring on: February 28, 2008 07:47:46 PM
Does anyone have a class ring with SEWING on the side of it as an activity?
My sister is graduating from High School soon and we've looked all over for a company that offers SEWING as an activity to have on the ring.

Does anyone know where we could look?

We've already tried Jostens, Walmart and Herff Jones (among other generics....) but none seem to offer SEWING as a topic.

What is this world coming to?

All of the sites seem to have LOWRIDER as a perfectly normal activity however....

If anyone could tell me where they got theirs, or if they know of a place that offers reasonably priced custom engraving that would be cool <3 Kiss
7  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Good Charlotte Painted Converse Hi-Tops! on: February 11, 2008 02:41:37 PM
These are great, as everyone else said.  Did you use a stencil for Joel? If so, how did you get the fabric on the shoe to lie flat enough?
No stencil.
Annnd I put my hand inside the shoe to keep it flat.
Pretty primitive I guess hahah.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Starbucks Cellphone skin! on: February 06, 2008 08:40:12 PM
oooo yummy! Cheesy they just stuck on there? no extra glue?

Yepppp when they come off the bottle they come off still sticky. Just use your fingernail or a credit card to smooth it over tight with no bubbles!
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Starbucks Cellphone skin! on: February 05, 2008 09:12:57 PM
I peeled the labels from a Starbucks bottle, stuck them to my phone and then used a razor around the grooves to slice away the excess sticker!
And ta-dah!

I love it!
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / French Vanilla Cappucino body scrub on: January 06, 2008 06:17:10 PM
I took a recipe for coffee-cinnamon infused bath salts from here....
And modified it, making a smaller batch and using French Vanilla Coffee grounds and Veg oil... I didn't have olive oil and running it though the coffee pot with a less than a quarter cup of water to infuse it.
Um, it's probably a good idea to clean your coffee pot with vinagar when you're finished to take out the residue of the vegetable oil.

Anyways..... Here it is!

Pic is a little fuzzy thanks to my webcam.

I thought it was pretty in the frappucino bottle hehe.
