21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / A few birdies...my first few embroidery things on: March 13, 2008 10:04:28 PM
So, I finally tried my hand at embroidering after I have been gazing longingly at all of your stuff. Of course, I am now in love with it. So I thought I'd put my first few things up here for all to see. It's nothing fancy, but I was super proud of myself.

This is the first first thing I made. It is the case that came with my camera. I don't really like the sides where I sewed it back up in black, but I'll live with it.

This is a shirt that I had that was kinda meh, so I added to it a bit.

Front, regular ol' shirt:

Bam! Side of the shirt:

Since the pictures aren't really great, here is a shot of what it looks like. This is actually on a bag I did for a swap, but it's almost the same. A slightly different color on the tree though.

So there it is. Comments, criticisms, and tips always welcome.
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Jewelry Organizers on: March 11, 2008 10:19:57 AM
So, I ha been keeping my jewelry in random containers, but out of sight, out of mind applied and I never wore any of it. And since I don't have much surface area, I made these to hang on the wall.

This one is a shadow box that I refashioned a bit. The bock is covered in pages from an extremely old biology textbook.

This one is for my earrings. The hang-y parts are ribbons to hold my studs and other ones that won't stick through the mesh-y part.

23  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / What goes with shrimp? on: February 07, 2008 02:12:01 PM
I want to make shrimp scampi for my bf for Valentine's Day, but I'm not too confident in my shrimp skills plus I'm not big on seafood. So what could I make with the shrimp that wouldn't be completely un-complementary in case I mess it up or if I want to eat something else?
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / It's my first time;be gentle! (Img. Heavy) on: January 18, 2008 04:53:38 PM
So, this is my first post with one of my crafts. I was inspired by MissKuchiki's hair clips https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=218146.0 and had to make my own.

Preface: I never sew except buttons and the like, so my stitches are slightly wonky.
Also the pictures are sideways, so turn your heads.

A group shot:

Pink Cupcake

Blue Cupcake

Ice Cream

Bonus! The Play-doh spaghetti I made with the girl I tutor!

Poop! I must have done the pictures wrong. I'm making them links for now, but I shall figure this out.
