31  Re: Yarn Swap for Rapunzel Scarf Round 4 in The Swap Gallery by hngoodlett on: September 22, 2008 09:26:32 AM
I received today from lamamarco! Then I had to check the swap page to make sure I wasn't underachieving. She sent me 11 pieces!

Okay, from the top left:

Super cuddly pink that I am currently rubbing on my cheek.
Light pink that's nice and thick
Really soft red that I have also been touching continuously
Skinny grey that is grey from far away but kinda white and black mixed up close
Cuddly black, I think it's the same kind as the pink
Blue, possibly home-dyed?
Bright green, very soft
Probably my favorite, purple that is all kinds of purples mixed together. I might have to put a close up of it.
Yellow, I think this is the kind you use for felting (correct me if I'm wrong lamamarco)
Super soft blue that is like the red
Fun fluffy black

Thanks so much lamamarco! Can't wait to start building my scarf.

I got a fabulous package from caffeinatedair a couple days ago. I love all of it!

Some great supplies including two adorable notebooks, some heart shaped paper clips, star thumbtacks, post-its, and stickers!

Awesome jewelry! I wore the necklace all day after I got it. What's it made of caffeinatedair? The earrings are fab too, but I can never take good pictures of earrings.

Goldfish soap! The cutest thing ever! And it smells so tasty.

The coolest most awesome bag ever! I needed a new bag for my books and stuff, and here it is!

Your image tag was missing a bracket, so I put it in my post for everyone to see.

It's really neat. I like the red beads a lot.

Okay, pictures are here! UntouchableFace sent the the coolest package ever!

First off, the coolest envelope made from a calendar and (I think) homemade paper. So cool!

Good Omens-Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A Sand County Almanac-Aldo Leopold
The Infiltrator-Harmon Leon (This looks hilarious!)
The Gunslinger Vol. 1-Stephen King (Awesome! I found Vols. 2 and 3 at the thrift and am so glad you sent this one!)
Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove-Christopher Moore
The Reivers-Faulkner
The Know-It-All-A.J. Jacobs (Woot!)
Player Piano-Vonnegut (Yay Vonnegut!)

Super cool bookmark!

Totebag with lovely fabric.

Lining/other side of tote. Totally carrying this tomorrow.

And my favorite thing!
A handmade stamp with my initials! I'm gonna be stamping my initials on everything!

35  Adventures in Rasterbation in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by hngoodlett on: July 14, 2008 07:21:39 PM
I had this really icky desk from the thrift shop and it made me sad to look at, so I fixed it up all pretty. I even kinda fixed the wobbly on it.

Excuse the mess. That was my painting room.

In its proper place.

36  Mountain Dew Cupcakes in Dessert by hngoodlett on: July 14, 2008 07:14:13 PM
I read this thread (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=255813.0) the other day and knew I would have to try them. It's the first time I ever made my own frosting, so I was pretty proud.

They taste a lot more like lemon than Mountain Dew, but they were really good anyway. A tip if you make them though, make only half of the frosting recipe. I had so much left over, and nothing to do with it.

I received from the lovely ritapizza today and I am so excited!

She claimed me for a camera case, but she included some awesome extras too.

Sorta what it looks like in action, obviously my camera couldn't be inside:

Cupcake "dishcloth" (Screw the dishes; it's super soft and it's for me.):

Silicone Hedgehog Mat:

Thanks so sos much ritapizza. I love everything!

I got this card a few days ago, but I couldn't find my camera cable. It doesn't have a code on the back, but I'm not sure if that matters anymore.

I took pictures of the lovely pendants I got from Haylie finally. I have made them into earrings and I love them!

Finally found my camera cord and can post pics of the lovely drawer sachets kittykill made for me!

First off the adorable card

Here are the four sachets. At the top you can kinda see the cute fabric bag she sent them in (the blue with cherries):

SO you can see all the fabrics. There are two of the floral ones. She also sent me a ton of the floral fabric too!:
