1  Re: Pushing Daisies Round 3 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by beccacc on: August 08, 2011 02:53:59 PM
FINALLY got around to taking pictures of what I received from Burstofpanties! She was a fantastic swap partner and I am so happy with what I got!

This is everything together. Please note the ADORABLE red pie box it was all packaged in. The perfect final detail Smiley

Like you can see on the list and in this picture, I got 1 apron, 2 scarves (which I also discovered are great as belts and headbands!), 1 hoop, 1 fused glass charm, 1 pair of sunglasses, 1 pie tin...and a whole lot of pretty! which is so true Smiley

The blueberry embroidery is my absolute favorite Smiley

Showing off the perfect little apron . I LOVE the fabric and it fits great with a perfect bow in the back

Channeling my inner chuck and using one of the "scarves" as a headband (woops just realized its upside down-the other side has no seam), wearing the perfect sunglasses-believe me i'm super picky about them normally and love these, and my awesome new pie tin!

Sorry for all the pictures, I just got a wee bit excited. Honestly I LOVED my package to pieces, it was so perfect. What a great swap! Thanks again!!!

Selenee sent me a personal message saying that she received her package and she hasn't posted any pictures yet so I thought I ought to post some so you could all see what I sent her!
I am still on vacation and just got back to the internet on my last part of my trip--I'll be home tomorrow and my mom let me know the package from Burstofpanties came and I am SO excited! I am sure I'll love it Smiley I'll make sure to post pictures when I open it!

This is what I sent to Selenee:
First was this embroidery of the aunt's coeur d'coeurs house:

Some details:

A darling mermaid darling small moleskine blank sketchbook:
the front
and the back

And then 5 hand carved block-printed cards on some scrapbook paper of chuck&a pie

Thanks for making the correction about my card, Quinndustrious, I appreciate it. Also, everyones packages so far look FANTASTIC! What a great swap! I'll post my pictures when I open my package!

So i bought a cheap $3 michaels tote bag a few months ago and made this bag.

im fairly happy with how it came out! it was kind of a rndom impulse bag that i just decided to do random stuff on

closeup of the embroidery and applique

closeup of the star embroidery and paint

the one thing i want to change is the STRAPS they are KILLING ME theyre so short so if its really full then its hard to hold. but once i do that i think im pretty happy with it!

4  The Hush Sound TShirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by beccacc on: February 13, 2008 01:08:01 PM

the shirt!

i made it from a michaels shirt-i just hemmed the sleeves and neck horribly by hand because im lazy. i wish i had actually cared when i did them...
and what the actual color is.

the detail. i cheaply screenprinted (with gauzy fabric and an embroidery hoop) the tree and moon and star

my first crappy attempt at embroidery...

Anyways, the symbol and hush are from THE HUSH SOUND!!! i love them you should go take a listen.
and i kind of just made up the tree and cloud inspired from their album cover.

questions, comments, criticisms, all welcome!

6  Cable Crochet DVD Player Case: IMG CHUBBY in Crochet: Completed Projects by beccacc on: February 13, 2008 12:54:38 PM
so on the plane ride to texas i was watching friends on my brand spanking new dvd player that i got for hannukah and was thinking HMMM isnt it a shame i have to carry such an awesome dvd player around in eithe rnothing or its lame cardboard case it came in?

SOOO as the crafty person i am i thought why not crochet a glorious case for it?!?!? and so i did.
this is my second project with crochet cables, the first being a hat which i would like to say THANKS MUCHO FOR THE TEACHINGS to a fantastic fellow craftster guru who posted a tutorial on her website... http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=5

anyways on to the showing...

side dos

closeup of the cables

next to the dvd player

the top ribbed section

QUESTION: should i add a zipper or leave it like a little dvd player sock and have it open?

compliments and criticisms are appreciated Smiley

the colors are off, its a generic gray and pretty blueish periwinkle

7  Bird's nest ring! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by beccacc on: February 13, 2008 09:10:11 AM
So i would like to have a disclaimer of not making up this idea. I've seen a multitude of these all over craftster including this lovely rendition by MandaBeads that can be found HERE- https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=208731.0

Anyways, i wasnt online when i made this, i kind of just saw wire at my house and made something up while watching family guy and this is what i got...not the best, and i want to redo it with actuall beads that look like eggs and maybe make it less, well, messy but anyways here it is...

(sorry for the huge factor)

im pretty happy with it. questions? comments? compliments? what-the-hell-was-she-thinking-s? go right ahead  Smiley
