3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: First Recon/Sewing Thing (T-shirt + Cami = New Cami) on: September 30, 2008 02:19:39 PM
I like the recon you did. I even think it looks better than the original shirt.
Also, your cat is adorable.
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!18th Birthday Party Invites on: September 26, 2008 11:23:24 AM
The idea of a cardboard record is good, because it'll give you a lot of space. If you need to imply that there will be a band, I would suggest metioning on the invite that there will be music.
Make something you can print out, and then maybe you can add fairy lights? In glitter or something?
Good luck!

I love this!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Viveka question on: September 15, 2008 03:18:24 PM
I'm making Knitty's Viveka (I know it's not the latest from Knitty, but I still like it Wink), and I was wondering how low cut it is? It's hard to tell from the pattern photo, because the model isn't who the sweater was made for.

You could try the spiral binding on something you aren't so invested in to see if you like it.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ordering yarn online - color question on: September 10, 2008 10:03:45 PM
I've ordered yarn online a few times, and from my experience, it's been relatively similar to what the monitor shows. At least, no nasty surprises, but I wasn't trying to match to something I already had.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How did you learn your craft? on: September 10, 2008 09:58:30 PM
I bought a set of needles, yarn, a cheap instruction book, then went home and figured out the process using the book and a few instructional videos.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Would you knit this? (or wear it ?) on: September 10, 2008 09:55:21 PM
I don't know that I would knit or wear it, because it's not really to my taste. But, I can see that a lot of people of people would love the garment, and I can't deny that it looks comfy and trendy.
