21  dog walking bag from placemats in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by DogGrrl on: May 22, 2006 09:46:41 PM
I was messing around with some .50 cent canvas placemats from Oriental Trading Company, my embroidery machine and some chalkboard fabric and came up with this - my new dog walking bag:

The flash makes it look like it has way more texture than it really does.  I really should have used a stabilizer, but I thought it was going to turn out really ugly, so I didn't bother!

22  First screen projects! in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by DogGrrl on: May 22, 2006 08:35:57 PM
Well, I have been wanting to learn to silk screen forever but just couldn't commit to the space it seems to require.  I saw this posting https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=68312.0 and thought I would try this stuff.  I know it may be "cheating" but it was so fun and easy!  A friend and I decided to do a couple of shirts for our respective businesses. Thanks so much uglyshyla for the link!

His shirt:

My shirt (which turned out really great but the grey color of the shirt makes the pic look horrible, also the little dog is also screened on the front):

and some undies that I thought would be funny since my bottom seems to get more piggly and wiggly with each passing year!!:

23  Re: Smokers Ages 18+ Swap in The Swap Gallery by DogGrrl on: May 22, 2006 08:21:02 PM
Yay, I got my camera back!  This is the great package I got from sephe711!

some cute wine charms which combine 2 of my favorite bad habits, smoking and drinking wine!

Two ashtrays.  One is hand painted and the other is an ashtray "to go" and it's personalized!

The sweetest cigarette holder - I am in love with this fabric!

The greatest pin cushion EVER!!!!  I totally cracked up when I saw it and I love the way it reminds me to take a break from the sewing machine!!!

She also sent me some great magnets that I didn't get a picture of before my camera battery died.

Thanks so much sephe711 - I love everything!

24  New Monkey Stuff (image heavy!) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by DogGrrl on: April 10, 2006 07:21:08 PM
Well, I got busy this weekend and sewed Monkey some new jackets!  My beloved Elna died just as I was sewing a dog bed  Cry

Jacket 1 - Made with a monkey print and the lining is a banana print

Monkey wearing it:

A raincoat because it won't stop raining here!  It looks too small in the picture but actually fits him just right.

and a bag to put all of his new duds in!

28  home decor? pets? scrapbooking? I guess it goes here? in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by DogGrrl on: February 02, 2006 11:49:49 PM
Mods, sorry if I posted in the wrong place!

I was bored the other night and decided to make some wall hangings honoring my dogs (they were being especially cute that night - but then again, it could have been the Pinot Grigio!).

Basically, 14x18" canvas that I painted and added pics and paper and stuff to. Really simple but fun!

I have a really long hallway where I was going to hang them.  I was also thinking about making one for my boyfriend, one for myself and then one of all of us together (in my defense, it is a really long hallway).

Okay, please tell me, is that just too dorky/crazy dog lady?  Honest opinions, criticisms, welcome (I really dont want to look like an idiot!)   Thanks!

29  Re: What to do with eyelash yarn??? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by DogGrrl on: January 09, 2006 07:39:29 PM
Here is what I did with some eyelash yarn I had lying around.  I used it with a black yarn I also had lying around and the orange eyelash was great as it made the collar all "spooky" looking.  Unfortunately, the flash makes it look sparkly but it really turned out great.  Every Halloween I get tons of compliments and everyone wants to know where they can buy one.

30  What does your crafting space look like? in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by DogGrrl on: July 30, 2005 10:06:33 PM
I am always amazed at how people organize their crafting spaces.

Here is my craft room (although it rarely looks this tidy!  Grin)
