here it is...i really love it n comfy to wear to work .

sorry for my messy room.

haven't done my hair & make up lol

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / the 5 dollars dress for my big day!!! on: July 30, 2009 09:27:50 AM
i just got a job as a dance & vocal instructor past few weeks ago and for my first assessment i have to show off my skills by training my dancers for a party at my office ( which happens to be last night ).UNFORTUNATELY I  was told by my boss that i have to wear white & orange for the party , and he told me a day before the due of the party. since i was busy training my dancers and make their costume , i don't have much time to go shopping for a new dress ( and I'm broke because i haven't receive my pay check yet )...so i decide to make my dress using bunch of white shirts that i save for some projects..i know it's crazy to wear a dress made of shirts for my 'BIG DAY'..but it turns out really great. I've passed the assesment with flying colours and the best part is i won the best dressed for the party , my coworkers are really surprised when they found out that the dress are made of from shirts . Grin

i use 4 large shirts to make the dress.and i sew an orange sequins stripe to emblish it.

i wish i had an orange shoe to match

i love how the godgets turns out on this pic.

a closed up for the neckline

with one of my dancers.

a shot with my dancers.i also made those dresses and add the ruffly lace on for the gloves .

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / it's not JUST a pillowcase skirt..and a cute bow belt ( with tute !!!) on: July 20, 2009 03:01:11 AM
hi..it's been such a really long time since I've post my last project here..I've been busy and lost my camera and my lap top broke down  Embarrassed..finally everything has recoverd now. it began with a 50 cents pillowcases which i found at thrift store , i think it's a way too cute for my pillows  Grin, so i make a simple skirt from two pillowcases ( i want an extra poof for my skirt ). after i finished my skirt i realized that i also can wear it as a dress but it need a cute belt to help me 'controled' the poofy ( i don't want to  be mistaken for a prego ). so here it is..i only put a tute for the bow belt because theres already many tute for a pillowcase skirt here  Grin.but i'm warning you , theres a lots of pic!

sorry about the unsymmetrical view because i have to hang my cam to shoot my pics.

as a babydoll dress or high waisted skirt.

as a cute empire dress with a ruffled bust.

isn't the rufffled pleated bust look gorgeous

it's huge but comfy.

the tute :

A to B : your underbust / waist measurement ( mine was underbust ) , 4 inch wide. measure your waistband and make sure it fits snugly .
B to C : add 1/3 of your waist / underbust measurement.
D : 8 inch long and 4 inch wide.
E : 2 inch long and 4 inch wide

fold your fabric with the measurement of your waist / underbust + 1/3 of your waist / underbust and sew along the edge to form a long tube.make sure you fold it from the top no side.

used a skewer to flip the tube ( make sure when you sew  it ,the outside fabric was folded inside ..so the seam will be inside after you flip it.

with a help from some pin , push the waistband into the 'tube '. then sew at both end of the waistband.

then you'll have a nice ruffly band.

for the bow, fold the fabric in half from side not top.sew along the dotted line and make sure you leave an inch from the end ,this will help you to flip the fabric insideout. then cut a snip at each corner.
do the same for E.

again , with the help of the skewer , flip the fabric and do the same for E.

place D on top of E.

do as the pic shows and sew along the dotted line.

repeat the process .

and tadaa you have a bow.

sew the bow at one of the waistband end , sew a hook and eye on the back of the bow part and the other end , but make sure you flip it to the other side first .

tadaaa finish..you have a cute bow belt.

6  COOKING / Dessert / milky vanilla cupcake ..with recipe!!! on: June 13, 2009 06:16:41 AM
hi ...i accidentally found this recipe while helping my mom cleaning her 'secret drawer ' . i found a small red book that nearly fall apart ..it's my mom's old recipe book, that she nearly forgotten about it  Smiley. so this afternoon i try the recipe and it is so delicious , it has a mild milky vanilla flavour and i cant stop munching it  Grin.

i glazed the cupcake with a baby pink strawberry glazed and ad some sprinkle.

i had problem looking for a cupcase in my hometown..i didnt know why it's so hard to find a cupcase here nowadays, so i decide to make it myself using a plain A4 paper. i cut the papers into a circle shape and pushed it in the baking tin..it works wonderful  Grin

if you can see the texture is moist and fluffy.

the batch makes about 18 cupcakes , sorry about the picture so blurry ,i took the picture using my web cam .as you can see there's a few cupcake i left plain , it's for my mom she's diabetic so i left the cupcake without the  glaze for her

here is the recipe :

vanilla milky cupcake.

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar ( i don't want the cake turns out too sweet for glazing , trust me it will turn out just nice ..but if you like it sweeter so just add more sugar  Cheesy)
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup milk or evaporated milk ( 3 tablespoons evaporated milk + 1 cup water )
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 large eggs.

-combine all the dry ingredients.
-add margarine or butter , milk and vanilla, beat for 1 minute.
-add eggs and beat about 3 minutes until the batter fluffy.
-spoon the batter into cupcake case until full, then you'll have a nice round top.
-bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

strawberry glaze.

3 tablespoons icing sugar
1 teaspoon strawberry flavour
2 tablespoons water

-mix all the ingredients until you have a thick but runny glaze.

hi guys...i happened to have a tons of plain white cotton fabric so i make a dress , i made the pattern myself but it turns out a little loose fitting..may be I'll pinch more on the back darts. the dress is really comfy but it's plain and boring so i paint a flower pattern with a fabric dye , and my cousin gave me the dark chocolate fabric that i sew underneath the dress skirt ( it really matches the colour of the dye yay!  Grin) and i'm so sorry for the wrinkles ..it's nearly 4 a.m right now and i don't think i'm gonna do the ironing and pressing at 4 am  Tongue. so here it is..
