771  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lightswitch Covers, Faux Mosaic and Shrine on: January 05, 2008 10:49:46 PM
Very cool, I was wondering how the lightswitch cover thing was done, and now I know, thanks! We are also buying a place and I was thinking on some nice things to be done without spending a lot, and that fits the bill.

The kitchen shrine is also quite nifty, very visually interesting!
772  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: I've gone Cat Hat crazy! Plus bonus barbell cozy! on: January 05, 2008 09:56:42 PM
The barbell cozy cracks me up, that is like...ultimate craftiness, like you ran out of things to craft-ify and went crazy on a barbell haha.
773  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Costume for Haunted House Attraction, The House of Shock!! TONS OF PICS!!! on: January 05, 2008 11:46:53 AM
Wow, that is really impressive. This is like crafting+engineering to get that all together. esp. the legs - they turned out awesome. You also did a good job of self editing, as with the color, and even the armour (I like it without, makes it more beastie). Were you actually able to walk in it much and how much weight was it total?

(also, I don't want to disregard the pajama pants bc I like the idea of a big, evil demon running around in pink flowered pj pants  Grin)

Those are def. action shots!  Grin
775  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Stripes, Polka Dots, Owls.. Some tops i made this week! on: January 04, 2008 11:10:02 PM
I have to say I love the first one most. The contrast in the fabrics in both texture and pattern is very striking! Also, the neckline is really awesome! I totally covet it, def. my kinda style!  Cheesy
776  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: "Cat Shelf" window seat for apt. kitties! on: January 04, 2008 12:06:26 PM
Very nice. We are actually looking at possibly buying a condo that has bars on the windows and I was wondering what to do about the cats habit of sleeping on the window sills. This may do the trick for my not-fat-she's-big-boned cat!  Grin Nice that your apt complex let's you drill at all, it's totally forbidden most places I have lived in!
777  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: DDR mat dog bed (pic hvy) on: January 04, 2008 12:03:46 PM
Nice idea...I also have a dead DDR mat hanging around my house that I was like ..eh..can't throw away. But it's just sitting there! I have cats though, but this gives me some ideas!
778  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: New Year's Eve Party - red vampire dress on: January 03, 2008 08:42:27 AM
I love the gloves, they must have been a complete pain to make in that fabric! Nice job on matching the pose in the inspiration, too, tee hee!  Grin
779  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: toronto cityscape earflap beanie (reversible) on: January 03, 2008 08:34:27 AM
That is a great idea to apply to a knit hat (personalized + cool points). I actually like the variegated 'sunset', it adds a nice and interesting contrast, although I can see your point on how the thinner building lines can get lost in it some. I think white might throw off the coolness of the colors some, maybe something darker or thicken it up with the black?

Neat stuff!  Cheesy

That's some fantastic thinking on how to make things functional without being overly convoluted. Plus, it looks expensive (yes, I am watching Project Runway right now hah)...the colors are very sophisticated without being boring.
