That dress is gorgeous and sooooo flattering.  Good job!
22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Beginner's Summer Skirts! on: June 17, 2008 02:00:03 PM
I am new to craftster and LOVE it!  I am also a new sewer.  Here are some rad summer skirts that I made to wear to my stuffy summer internship.  There's nothing like working full-time over the summer for free!

The rainbow skirt is made out of an ugly thrifted dress.

The Star Wars skirt is made out of some old curtains that my neighbor gave me.  I got a lot of sideways glances at work in this thing....Hot!

That is great!  I love day of the dead stuff and have been working on creating my own cross-stitch patterns recently.  I just went to the store and got some graphing paper.  It is totally working out for me.

That is so cool.  It looks like it took forever...and a lot of patience.  Nice work!

Rag-o-rama on Delmar is a pretty fabulous, moderately priced, buy-sell-trade place.  That area has a lot of cool shops and restaurants too like Recycled Records (really fab new/used record shop) and Blueberry Hill, BB King's restaurant/bar.  There is also a cool indie film place called something like Tivoli.  All of those places are on Delmar.

Here is a map to Rag-o-rama:

Have fun!
