I have to agree with what some people have said: the dress you made is WAY cuter than the dress you based it on. Lovely fabric too.

For christmas I made my roomie oven mitts. She's a fan of the "Oh there's nothing I want for christmas genre." and never has any ideas. She settles for useful things though. This year in my crafting kick I decided to make her these since she loves to bake. Smiley

She was pretty happy with them. I'm glad b/c they were so much fun to make.

I do believe what I did with the "map part" is called applique... I used fusable interfacing to get the pieces to stay and then I sewed around the edges.

And pillowcases do make it so much easier.
