1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Valentines Day Kitty on: February 11, 2009 02:39:04 PM
I'm just learning to sew...my nearly 2 year old daughter is obsessed with cats for some reason so I thought I'd make her a kitty for Valentines Day.  I got the pattern from http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/cat/terrycat.html and used a pair of my honey's old jeans, stuffed with stuffing from an unused pillow (I live in the mtns., there's no place to get stuffing close by) so it was free!

Hope you enjoy it...feedback is very welcome!!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / What can you do with that old window?? on: May 14, 2008 08:31:36 AM
Here's my use for an old window frame (only one pane of glass remains)...very simple and pretty much free!

All I did was add some screw-eyes, thread some fishing line through them and add some clothes pins to hold my prints and finished artwork.

It works great for me and holds LOTS of stuff!  I hope you get inspired by it, thanks for looking!

Here's my first attempt at a crafty birthday cake, I made it for my daughter's first birthday...I think I did okay considering that I had no shaped pan and a sick one year old to contend with!
