Awesome job! And yeah, pleather can be a pain to work with. Kudos to all the hand-sewing, that's amazing... I do everything by hand as well, but that's only because I don't have a machine and have never learned to use one!

thanks! and besides, who needs a machine..hand sewing means it's made with love!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / MP3 Monster/Dino Case on: February 23, 2009 08:32:44 AM
I bought myself a voice recorder/mp3 player, but alas, I didn't have a case for it! And since I'm incredibly clumsy and I drop and scratch everything, I decided to make my own. I made the case out of black felt, glued on some googly eyes and velcro, some little feet, teeth, and orange spikes going down his back. After I finished, I thought "Hey, where will the headphones go?" And so I made a little mini monster/dino for holding those. The little guy has velcro on the inside, too. The only problem was that I didn't make the case quite tall enough, so the top part has to bend a little over the mp3 player when I close it Sad

Here are the pics!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pink patent apron on: February 23, 2009 08:22:50 AM
Cute! I love the pocket design, and also the fabulous pink color. I work at an ice cream store, but our aprons are so dull and boring. Wearing something like that would definitely making going to work a lot more fun!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Infinity + maxi + jewel toned dress = <3 on: February 23, 2009 08:19:39 AM
I love the color!! That blue/turquoise color is one of my favorites. And the dress looks amazing! I'm a newbie at sewing, and while I've done a few things already, I haven't tried my hand yet at any stretch material. Your hard work paid off, you have a very gorgeous dress!!

Holy cow...that corset is amazing! I love when clothing and art are mixed, and this piece is definitely an astounding work of art. Absolutely beautiful!!!
7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Pikachu dress/costume! on: February 23, 2009 08:07:29 AM
OMG that is too cute!!! I love how fuzzy that fabric looks. Pikachu is by far my favorite pokemon. The wire to hold up the tail was a good idea, too. Totally jealous Smiley lol
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bridal jewelry set in pearl and swarovski crystal (necklace/bracelet/earrings) on: February 23, 2009 08:03:14 AM
Woww! That's gorgeous! I love the combination of the swavorski with the pearls, and the clasp is really pretty, too. I think that handmade jewelry for weddings is always so much prettier. I'm sure your friend will love it!

That's a really cute idea! Does the colored pencil or marker rub off when you wear it though? Or did you use some kind of adhesive or coating to cover it
