1  vinyl bag for work in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by islandjane on: February 11, 2008 02:22:09 PM
I made this bag this weekend to take my lunch and purse etc....back and forth to work.  I have two pockets on the inside as well, one pocket is slightly larger than 8.5 x 11 as I always seem to be taking papers back and forth to work.  I also added a key hook thingie to so if I put my keys in the bag I just snap them on the hook and don't have to dig through the bag.  I got the material at Fabricville for less than $5/meter.

2  watch- beaded strap attaching suggestions please in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by islandjane on: February 10, 2008 06:21:28 AM
here is the strap I made for this watch.  I hate how it is attached but not sure how to make it look better.  I don't have a ton of store choices as I live in a small town, so if you have any suggestions and know where I can buy it online, please let me know.
oh, and I'd like it not to be permanent, so I could interchange the straps with bracelts of different colors.  TIA!!!

strap

watch, just wire on one side then I used a magnet closure on the other side, but it's not very strong and was constantly letting go, so I put a chain safety on it.

3  Re: PLEATNESS BAGS! now enriched with tutorial goodness! pg 10 in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by islandjane on: February 10, 2008 06:09:31 AM
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the tutorial, SO kind of you to share.   I made it the other night (actually over 2 nights Smiley).  I have no sewing experience (except for 2 month sewing class in grade 7, lol) and I was still able to follow your great instructions.  There was just one part I got confused but winged it and it turned out.

Here is a pic:

5  little girl purse / w beaded handle in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by islandjane on: January 26, 2008 06:51:37 PM
this is my first purse, I made it for my 3 year old niece for Christmas.  It is a little crooked, but with 2 small kids myself, I don't have time for do-overs, lol.  She LOVED it, and that's what matters. Smiley
