2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / One more snoman... on: December 10, 2006 10:32:49 PM
...I think I'm addicted to making these!!  Shocked

This one, I made up, & attempted to make a regular snoman hat, but it ended up a beret..  So I kept up with the sorta french theme, & gave him a funny lil french mustache, & used darker based colors. I gave him flirty dark eyes too. His buttons or pom poms aren't as crocked as they lQQk in the pic...

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / I made a snowman & penguin on: November 25, 2006 09:42:02 PM
I made these today. I'm a better crochet'r than I am a pic taker!

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Shaded Panels Afghan on: November 13, 2006 05:27:02 PM
I made this for a friend at one of my jobs.  She bought the yarn & I crochet'd it!  It was a freebie pattern at the store.  By Red Heart called "Choice Afghans".  This one is called Shaded Panels & its done in 5 panels then you sew 'em together, like a MAM I guess.  I dunno for sure bcuz I've never made a MAM or an afghan for that matter, except a skull one for my cousin, from a graph.  This was NOT as easy as it lQQk'd! LOL, but once I got the hang of it, it went ok, lots of sewing, which I hate, but that went fast too, I guess...eventually....towards the end... LOL

She bought RHSS & Bernat Silk yarn.  The bernat silk I had used before, & while I know the yarn snobs will scoff at me, but I really like working with it,  & the drape is wonderful.  I like the way both yarns are shiny & no splitting like happens with SS sometimes.   IMHO.

The colors she chose were camel, sage, celery, violet & pink.  The pix don't really do it justice, again IMHO, but I'm showing them off anyway!

Hope you like it, & even if you don't go ahead & tell me why.  I can take it!

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / my gauntlets on: October 26, 2006 09:16:21 PM
These are 2 pair of gauntlets, & the lovely model is Noelle.
These are for 2 of her friends at school.  One pair is regular ol' black ww. the other is bernat sport weight, black with tinsel or something shiny running thru it.  Grin
The pix are kinda big, so I'll just post the links.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Stuff I did for our Fall Festival!! LINK FIXED. on: October 22, 2006 10:33:08 AM
Today is our fall festival  at our church & I made some stuff to give to the craft store for them to sell. I kinda wanted to show ya my stuffs!  Please forgive the grungy chair the only light was in the garage so I used the chair we're throwing out!  I washed & blocked everything right after I took these pix!!  Grin

Thank you for telling me!!  I'm sorry about that.

Here is a link to all the pix.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First (and last) graphed afghan! on: January 01, 2006 01:10:28 PM
lol.. ok I'll probably do another one someday, but not for a long long loooooong time!!  Tongue ALL those ends to weave in!! I dunno how you guys that make those detailed multi color changes projects do it!!  Huh My 14 yr old cousin that I'm raising, asked me waaaaaaaaaay back in March to make her a skull afghan to go in her room.. so I found a pic she liked, & put it one of those online graph maker thingys.. and got the graph..& started & stopped it like 10 times. She is so sweet...she let me keep putting it off to do other stuff.. and eventually, it got forgotten, by me at least!  Embarrassed THEN on December 26th, she reminded me that I still had'nt finished it! D'oh!  Shocked So finally with like 10 minutes to spare..last nite... I had it finished & washed & on her bed!!  Grin So...thats how I brought in the New Year...same way the old one went out...lol me crocheting like a mad fool!!  Cheesy She luv'd it!! So it was soooooooooooooo worth it & I wouldnt have it any other way!!  Grin So...anyway...here it is...SHE picked out the colors..
Oh!! I did the "crab" stitch all the way around & as much as I know most of you don't like that stich, I luv'd it! It puts such a nice finish on the afghan!!

I'm not real proud of it, I see tons of places I could have done better, & plenty of mistakes, but for being my first one, I guess I sorta am happy with it, and my cousin luv's it, so thats all that really matters!!  Kiss
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bearghans or teddyghans...either way... on: June 22, 2005 11:18:46 AM
..I made 2 of 'em!   Grin

The first one is done in bernat xmas soft blue, it has silver tinsel
threads running thru it, its so soft & pretty, the 2nd color lQQks
grey in the pix, but its not, its silver satin bernat, I wish you
could see how pretty it is, sll sparkly & stuff!!

The 2nd one is flamingo pink satin, & baby varigated bernat its got
flecks of pastel yellow, purple, blue, pink, with mostly white. I
did this one, with the double head square, so it lifts up, like the
baby blankets that have a hood. These were so fun, but I'm glad
they're finished!
