the buttons are my favorite touch

and here is a pink one made with vannas choice which is really nice but i had to buy two skeins so now i have a bunch leftover

thanks for looking!!

i finished this about a week ago!! it took me about a month, and i was going to make it bigger but i didn't want to buy more yarn

its more than sixty inches tip to tip, and it wraps around me just barely....its a present for my nephew turning one so he can definetly grow into it

anywhoo...onto the pictures!!!

with the goonies for size reference...hey you guys

i promise in real life the holes don't look that big, i must have had it stretched out

6 CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / hat question on: February 05, 2008 07:33:30 PM
i am going to be making my friend a hat with an argyle pattern, just one row of diamonds around the forehead

i already found a chart for the pattern, but i was wondering if you guys thought it would be better if i made the top part of the hat and the patterned part separate and then stitch them together, or if i should try to do it all together

7 CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / can anyone help me figure out how to make this hat? on: January 21, 2008 07:58:41 PM

what kind of stitching might that be? i thinks its crochet but i'm new at this so i could be terribly wrong

if i can figure out the stitch i can probably figure out the hat, but if someone knows of a specific pattern then bonus!!
8 CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / i learned to crochet, and made some cool hats on: January 19, 2008 10:58:46 PM
so i've basically known how to crochet for awhile, but i've never completed anything before

since i moved to a new state and have no friends, i've picked it back up again to keep from being bored

and i looove making hats now....so these are my fifth and sixth hats i've made, i basically used the pattern from this thread but i modified it a lot, mostly size and row wise

the green is red heart kids pistachio and the white is lion brand wool ease in white/multi

this is my first picture post!! yay

ignore my whiteness, it is enhanced by my dark hair, and having to take a picture in the mirror of the poorly lit bathroom because the hubby wasn't home to help

9 CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / can't figure this out on: January 09, 2008 07:16:17 PM
everytime i try to make a hat i just get a big round slouchy circle, i think i am following the directions perfectly but maybe i am increasing too much?
