1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Aftershave for the men in my life. on: March 07, 2011 02:07:03 PM
I absolutely HAVE to try this Smiley It seems I'm going to have to go and buy myself some vodka lol, I have been itching to try out some perfume, and this would be perfect for hubby/brother/dad and just the harder to make for males at work who end up getting peppermint creams for xmas LOL!

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: The Big Bang Theory Swap on: January 03, 2011 12:48:23 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is how I understand it.
Points are in relation to how much work you put into the stuff you're sending your partner. IE 4 points is equal to 4 hours of crafting time. This can be made up with a 4 point item, or say a 3 point item and a 1 point item, 2 and 2 points and so on.

This link will show you a bunch of FAQ's which you might find useful Smiley

Thanks for the link, though all I could find was this:
"08. What are points as they apply to swap requirements?

A few organizers like to use a points system. A swap may be described as a "5 point or 7 point swap".  This is allowed, but it is not a Craftster regulated system. If you are uncertain of what exactly a points system type swap entails, please contact the organizer of that swap for details."

How about a 4 point swap?
Sorry to sound so dim, but what do you mean by a 4 point swap? I've read all the swap rules and can't find anything LOL!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: 2010 What is everyone planning to make for Christmas? on: December 12, 2010 02:14:14 PM
As my husband says, I could open my own Hobby Craft (He tends to exaggerate!) but for the people at work, I tell them I don't spend any money on their presents and just use what I have around the flat already.

Last year I made handmade Christmas books and personalised Stationary for the girls at work, and for the 2 little girls of the MD (cute story about meeting them and I like to make them gifts at xmas!) I made personalised stationary for them, which they used a sheet each to write me a thank you note which I thought was adorable, along with some lava lamp lip gloss.
Sadly I didn't take any photos. Gutted!

This year the girls at work are getting a votive candle scented "Scents of Christmas", and some peppermint sugar scrub.  The boys who I normally just get a small box of chocs shall be getting some handmade treats... uhhh, still not yet decided. Maybe peppermint creams?
I also like to bake for them and to take to my nan's house the Saturday before xmas so I'm going to make some basic cake pops. Can't wait for that!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shirred tube top on: March 14, 2010 02:51:26 PM
I've been trying to do a top just like that, only my machine absolutely refuses to do shirring. I searched online and found that Brother sewing machines don't like it so much but there is a way around it (I need a spare bobbin caseto alter the tension). Just waiting for Brother to get back to me with a place I can get one. I'm getting a little impatient now I've seen your top LOL. I want to make one too! It's fab!
