question- if you get a box or something- how can you tell how many ounces it holds? i want to make sure that i send enough

I did this for a jar with water, but you can use this... technique
take a measuring cup (I have a crafting one that's both metric and ahem "regular" system) and fill it with rice, letils, packing peanuts, basically anything. Fill it to your desired level (15 or 30) and then try pouring them in boxes. if it fills the boxes, voila!!

Good for you! doesn't it feel great? Another easy project is arm warmers. you basically cast on 30 stitches, and knit 30 rows with regular (sport or lightweight yarn with a size 9 needle. Just approximate). Then, bind off, fold in half, and sew up to where you want the thumb hole to be. Sew the last inch or so, turn inside-out, and voila!
