31  Re: Spice up your Kitchen Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by bigfatroses on: April 03, 2008 09:35:47 AM
kawaiiholic told me that she received the last of her goodies, so I thought I'd go ahead and post a picture of it since I'm slightly pleased with it!   Grin

I used white ribbon for the apron ties to make it much more girlie, and used red piping on the top of the pocket for fun!

This is the fabric used for the pocket:

Ok, so I figure that I'll be able to sign up in the next couple of days, which is good since I need to re-write my LV's bio and all that good stuff!  But, here's a quick sketch of what my LV will hopefully look like- drawn up on the road (DH was driving!  LOL!), so he's kind of horrible looking, but I'd like to present to you the future Emo-ero!!!!!!!!!

He's the emo superhero of the world!   Cheesy

I'm sad to announce that the actual version of him won't look like the drawing- he'll probably end up looking like an emo gingerbread man, but hey, no one's perfect right?!?

Here's a couple of random- slighty teaserish- pics for kawaiiholic  Grin

I inhaled a little too much saw dust from this baby, but it'll be soooooooooo worth it!

And here's my trusty old paintbrush Smiley

And finally, my hair HAD to get involved somehow...  Grr!  LOL!  I guess a few extra white hairs won't hurt me!

My pictures aren't that great either, but hopefully everyone can see how cute the beads are!  Oh, and the pendant...  I took the bead off of a book thong that I found at Borders, and decided that it was much more beautiful by itself than with a lot of other beads!  LOL!

I received, and I am thrilled with everything!  My kitchen is getting a major face lift after I'm done posting pics so I can make sure my new goodies get all the attention!!!

My new AWESOME apron

With cute matching towel

Do you see the little pom poms???  HOW CUTE IS THAT?!?!?!?!?

Look at these guys, who by the way, are going to be treasured FOREVER!  DD tried to swipe them, but they are MINE!

And then these amazing mustardy yellow wash clothes, with the cutest little stuffed birdie...  I have the perfect birdhouse to put him in!!

I'll get action shots as soon as I revamp my kitchen, and ummm, dress in something that matches LOL!  I'm sure the mail man thought a crazy lady moved in when he saw me this morning!   Grin

Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much kawaiiholic!!!  You have made my kitchen country cute, which makes me very happy!!!!

37  Re: octopus/squid gallery in The Swap Gallery by bigfatroses on: March 17, 2008 12:11:56 PM
I received from jungrrl, and I am just in awe over the goodies she sent!  I asked for items to be made for my daughter, who LOVES anything octopus, and my partner came through like a rock star, and made a beautiful tote bag for me, which is going to be used tomorrow!!!!!

Here are the pics!

Here's what greeted me when I opened the box  Grin

Big octo- DD holding him up, so you can see how large this guy is!

Look at his eyes!  DD poked them- she's an octo bully  Grin

Crayon roll Smiley

And with crayons in it (to be used tomorrow as well since DD has a doc appt)

All rolled up, and DD loves it already!

And the tote bag, and I'm in LOVE with the pink, by the way!!!!!

jungrrl- Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

You are very talented, and I'm lucky to have had you be my partner!!

xx_Kellybean- thank you for hosting this swap!  We should all do something nice for you  Wink

You need to move back to the land of fish rocks and tufa.

I totally agree!  I'd go back to the Mojave Desert in a heartbeat if I could!
Teaser for bigfatroses:

I hope its not too funky for you!

LOVE!  Funky is ALWAYS appreciated!  And look at those lovely roosters!  *drools*

Here's a "teaser" of the fabric I'm using- I can't really show you even parts of the other things because they'd be quite obvious as to what they are!  LOL!

39  Beautiful Chaos Pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by bigfatroses on: March 02, 2008 08:39:54 PM
Ok, so I just made this pendant about 10 minutes ago.  I started with a wire crochet base, and then quickly got tired of that, so I just grabbed some beads, placed them randomly and used the rest of my wire to do random, chaotic wraps around the crocheted part.   The picture isn't that great (my apologies) but I will try to get a better one once morning comes, and I can take advantage of natural light!

WARNING- The following is going to be picture HEAVY!!!!!!!!!   Grin  Lots of goodies to share!

serendipity_sarah is AWESOME, and she totally spoiled my little girl and me!

Here's what it looked like when I first opened it!

Underneath the note, and some Easter grass, we found Dum Dums, otherwise known as Molly-pops in our house!

After the Molly-pops were taken out, this is what we got to feast our eyes on!

All the loot (and there's a TON of it, eh?!?)

Here's some jewelry that my partner made, and it's so beautiful!!

Some amazing scrunchies!

And as you might be able to see in the pic above, my Molly is wearing the bunny ears!  LOL!  But here's a better pic!  Wink

And Molly already adores her tote bag!

But, she's rather fond of this bunny as well!!

And books, especially Dora, are ALWAYS loved in our house!

And before I forget- not that I ever could:

Here's some cute little chicks to make Easter more colorful!  Look at how glittery their eggs are!

And cute garlands to make our house more festive!  Pencils and ribbon too!

I am in awe over everything serendipity_sarah sent!  She's a WONDERFUL partner, and we're all very appreciative of her!  Thank you so much!!!!  Oh, and I had to really hide the Junior Mints, otherwise Molly may have eaten the whole box in one sitting!  That's how much she loves them!
