Just finished up another top! It is a super secret project though, so no sharing until I finish it and it is received at it's new home.

On a side note, nothing I make is squaring up lately! I think I'm a bubble off plumb being preggers!  Cheesy

3rd quilt?  wow--it is only February!  That is great AlwaysInspired!!

I'm trying to stay ahead of the game since I will be non quilty when the baby is born!

Jennie hit it on the head! That is a great tute. That is the stitch I use, but have heard it called the invisible stitch. after much practice I can finally do it well and a little bit quicker than when I started! Cheesy

My local long arm quilter charges by the inch when it is on her computerized machine and charges a different rate for the custom ones that she does with her hand long arm. She provides batting and you pay a couple dollars for thread as well. Some times I also have her put the back on as she has the super extra wide fabric and then I don't have to piece a back together. I've always thought is is reasonable and all my friends use her as well. It helps to have a good relationship with the person and know others they do work for. I find she is perfect for me and always knows just what I want. For backing, batting, thread, and custom quilting for my baby quilt it was $123.00 (tax also). I don't think that is terrible considering I get it back and ready to bind it. I do all my binding the hand stitching way. I have quilts that the hubby and I use daily that have been washed a billion times and the hand stitching has never given. I like the neatness of the hand stitching using the invisible stitch. It isn't my fave thing to do, but it really adds to the quilt in my opinion. Plus, it is the way I was taught by my quilty pals who have been doing this far longer than me and I wouldn't want to disappoint them!  Cheesy I do plan on trying a couple of tutes I found on pinterest for machine done binding on some smaller projects like mug rugs and table runners.

Always that quilt is based on the "split decision" quilt I made! It looks wonderful! I love the colors! Some bibs would be nice from that fabric too!
