This is a different wedge ruler, but the wonderful people at Phillips Fiber Art gave it away for $2 shipping only at Christmas with a pattern! I couldn't resist!

I just finished up a little side project. Ahem, ok it was a distraction project from the other larger things I have going right now. Something I could finish in an afternoon!  Cheesy

14  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / St. Patrick's Flower Table Topper on: March 10, 2012 07:52:32 PM
I have the 12 degree wedge ruler from www.phillipsfiberart.com and used the newest freebie pattern to make this St. Patrick's inspired flower table topper.

I used 2 colors of green Kona cotton and some vintage cream fabric with clovers all over.

It has a new home for now on my dinning room table holding my little leprechaun friend.

Thanks for looking and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Grin

Slowly binding! Also working on another top that I had to go get more fabrics for. I hope it comes out in the end as I didn't have access to my more of my original fabrics. It is supposed to look scrappy so I'm sure it will come out just fine. Also plotting out Hamster's next quilt!  Wink I think I'm just having this baby to have an excuse to make baby quilts.  Cheesy

I got my 2 quilts back from my long armer late last week! I plan on making binding and doing the machine sewing portion this weekend. Then it is hand stitchy time for me! I also started another quilt from the Layer em' up book by Sharyn Craig. Almost done with the blocks! I will be quilting this one myself for the first time! Just doing stitch in the ditch so don't get to excited.  Cheesy

I'm honored that my table runner made the best of list! Thanks!

I'm totally into gray too! I ordered some of the half moon modern prints from Moda in gray and some in yellow to make a quilt for the Hamster! Her room is going to be yellow, gray, and white. I fell in love with that line, and had a hard time tracking it down in the gray and yellow colorways. I managed to get 5 fabrics of each color. Not sure of a pattern yet so if you see the fabric line and think of a pattern please share.

I took 2 quilt tops to my long armer today!  Grin I'm actually looking forward to binding them since being this preggers hand stitching in a chair is more fun. LOL

I must chime in and say I don't mind the cutting as long as I am in a focused mood. I take my quilts to a long armer, but I do not enjoy the hand binding process, but I buck it up and do it anyway.  Cheesy
As for my gift certificate from the Hubby, I'm hoping to find a quilt pattern to inspire me and I'll purchase the fabric for it.
I have 2 tops ready to go to the quilter on Monday! WOOT! Grin
