1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Purple wrap on: April 03, 2018 10:36:05 AM
Ive been so into crochet last years, especially scarfs and wraps and so.

This is made with gradient yarn (I hope I translated that right Wink )
The pattern came with the 2 skeins of yarn. 1000 metres per skein, a lot!!

On my couch:

And wrapped around:

And one more Smiley

Thanks for watching!
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Chickens, chickens, chickens mini art quilt on: April 26, 2017 03:21:09 AM
I joined the MAQ swap and made my lovely partner a chickens art quilt.  Smiley

I paperpieced the chickens. When I finished them, I played around with the design. I like two chick facing and two with their tooshie together  Wink

Then I wasn't satisfied with it because it looked like they're stacked upon eachother.
After adding some burlap I thought it looks more like their on their nest.

I didn't have enough grasgreen to add to the sides, so I added some fabric with yellow (like hay and their nest) at the bottom and greens and browns in the middle and top, like grass and trees.

The wings of the chickens have some batting with zigzag stitches, to make it look like feathers.
The chickens have also extra batting, so they pop out. I like the effect!

There's not much quilting done after this, it would undo my extra batting of the chickens. But because the chickens are paperpieced, I think it really looks quilted enough.
Added some seed beads as eyes and that's it. Oh my label on the backside of course  Cheesy

I had lots of fun creating this quilt. It was challenging and I liked it a lot!  Cheesy
Here you can see one of the failures haha:

The first chicken I made was a failure. I didn't use it, because the fabric didn't work for this pattern. Too much pattern going on, it makes it hard to see it is a chicken. I will probably make a pot holder out of this.  Wink

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / First Silhouette Cameo projects on: March 13, 2017 08:40:33 AM
I'm the proud owner of a Silhouette Cameo 3, gifted by my lovely partner. I own it for about 3 weeks now.
I started with a jar,

My lunchbox

And a coffee cup.

Link to free file drink coffee,..

Then I moved on to clothing with heat transfer vinyl.
My son's name in scrabble tiles. Not perfect but fun.

A Chanel fake for me

And a star shirt

Yay! Fun!
I will add the links to the free designs later.

Thanks for looking!
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Last dance on the beach CAL on: March 08, 2017 12:11:18 PM
The Dutch brand "Scheepjes" organized a CAL in 2016 which I loved.

I bought a luxury kit with Merino wool and tackled all the squares, yay for that! Some of the squares were done over and over, not getting it right, but in the end I am happy with my pretty blanket!

I am totally into granny or square blankets now, rows seems not to work for me. It isn't perfect but that is good, I am not perfect.  Smiley

Some more pics, just 'cause I love my blanket!

Eep, please ignore the mess next to my bed

I've been sleeping under my pretty blanket all winter and I love how soft it is. So proud of my first ever huge crochet project!  Cool

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Melting snowflakes shawl on: March 08, 2017 11:53:04 AM

I've found myself addicted to crochet last 2 years. (Crocheting a lot and not posting though, oops) This pattern was bought in combination with a complete kit with merino wool and little beads.

The pattern wasn't too hard and so much fun to do. I love my shawl and have been wearing it a lot. So soft too, love that.  Smiley

And a few details:

I will have a look and post a link to the patttern, it is available on Ravelry. DONE!

Thanks for looking!  Smiley
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Simple vest on: January 10, 2016 09:16:21 AM
Hi all!

It was about time I posted a project again! It has been a while..

Browsing internet and Pinterest I came across a simple knitted and crochet vest. Very simple, just a rectangle with two slits for the arms. I loved it and made my own version.

My inspiration:
Here is the first link.

And here's the other one.

the front:

And the backside:

And here it is flat on my bed. In the pic it looks weird and not straight, but it really is.

It was done in DC's. By crocheting back posts only, I created the stripes. One side is a bit longer than the other side, to make the front assymetric. When I was finished I added SC's all around. That's it!
I really love it!

Thanks for looking!  Smiley
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Book covers - PIC HEAVY!! on: November 04, 2015 10:42:16 AM
Hi fellow-craftsters!

A while ago I promised one of my collegues to sew her a changeable book cover. We all received a notebook and I felt it needed a little extra to make each notebook personal. Since I LOVE sewing, it was an easy promise Wink

That cover started it all! I was very happy with the result and so this is the only picture I have haha.

Okay, I wanted to give my co-worker a cute book cover too. I know she loves purple, so here is number two:

and the inside:

Having so much fun and I needed some distraction from real life, so I sewed another 4:

Inside of two of those:

Inside of the other two:

The 4th I sewed became a patchwork cover which I love so much, I decided to keep that one Cheesy

Here is the patchwork cover , front laid out:

The plan is to sew every one of my collegues one as a Christmas gift. BUT I have 23 collegues...   Roll Eyes So I have to sew another 18 covers to complete my plan... Maybe I will be able to pull it off, otherwise it will be a next Christmas or some other time!  Grin
