1291  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 36 on: July 16, 2008 11:49:11 AM
I claim frosty772 for loads of scrapbooking and jewlery making supplies.

This is 2,0,0 for this round.

I am 27 years old and live in Wisconsin with my husband and our two cats. I love crafts that reflect nature and/or reuse and recycle materials. I also like funky, freaky, weird, cool, unusual craft items. My favorite colors are chocolate brown, blue and green. I am not a big fan of pinks or any thing too girly. I love to sew, decoupage, make paper and play with polymer clay.

On to the wish list:

Super Big wishes are bold

1292  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Favorite Movie Swap Gallery on: July 16, 2008 10:30:14 AM
A survival kit for a midnight showing of RHPS. Inside is a bunch of stuff to use during the movie, and directions on how to use it. Since, they don't have these showings here, I may have to recreate it on my own.

....
Since, I am from Wisconsin...
Oh, I beg to differ my dear! I am from Wisconsin too, and there ARE showings here. I don't know what part of Wisconsin you are in, but I know Milwaukee has a show every secons Saturday of the month I believe http://www.altslashgo.com/sd/main.shtml
and Madison has shows the opposite Saturdays at the Orpheum though they are on hiatus for a bit http://www.velvetdarkness.org/

You simply have no excuse now! Awesome swap goodies by the way!

I did know about the showings in Madison, but I am 3 hours from madison and 5 hours from Milwaukee. Maybe the next time I visit friends in Milwaukee, I will have to make sure it is the second Saturday of the month  Grin Thanks for the tip!

Here are two stamps that I have received so far.

1298  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Favorite Movie Swap Gallery on: July 15, 2008 08:29:11 AM
Since I know that yoyowa is anxious for me to post pictures of the wonderful package she sent, I will post them now.  Grin

I couldn't believe how many wonderful things there were in this swap package. I kept pulling more and more crafted goodness out of the bottomless box.

My four favorite movies were Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cannibal the Musical, Dogma, and This is Spinal Tap.

On to the picture overload!!!

One of my favorite items- a handmade Brad doll with two outfits!! I love this because when I was in high school, my friends and I would watch RHPS show all the time and we each had a "part" I was Brad, and I had all of my lines memorized Tongue Yeah, I am a dork. But this doll is soo cool.
Boring everyday Brad, in boxer shorts and a white tank top

Fun, sexy Brad in fishnets, and a corset. This picture doesn't show the detail very well, but the corset is very well made and matches the bag and eye mask below!

A survival kit for a midnight showing of RHPS. Inside is a bunch of stuff to use during the movie, and directions on how to use it. Since, they don't have these showings here, I may have to recreate it on my own.

A wonderful stenciled t-shirt with Dr. Frankenfurter. I love this shirt, and I can't wait to wear it!

Next is a handpainted picture frame and some candy lipstick

A decoupaged plate and mini lunch box

Some polymer clay pendants inspired by RHPS.

RHPS inspired zippered tote and eye mask.

Handmade journals. The Cannibal the Musical one (Large dark brown one) and the Dogma (small, light brown one) are both hand bound. I love them both!
My favorite is the Dogma one, it has the "carpenter and the walrus" speech that Loki gives in the airport!!

Since, I am from Wisconsin, I found it hilarious that Bartelby and Loki were banished to Wisconsin. Yoyowa made me a stenciled t-shirt to show off that home state pride :-)

And last, but not least, is a decorated Spinal Tap box with my favorite quote from the movie on the inside!

Whew, I think that is everything. Thank you so much yoyowa!! I love it all!!!! and if you have any better detail shots, please post them!

1300  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Favorite Movie Swap Gallery on: July 15, 2008 04:43:29 AM
yea! I am so glad that you like everything lexie. It was fun crafting for you.

You might be having problems loading pictures if they are too big. They have to be under 2MB. Maybe try resizing them. Hope that helps. I also have a few pictures, but they aren't very good because I was impatient to send off your package, so I couldn't wait for decent lighting.
