OK, I have finally taken pictures of the wonderful things that mimiw made for me. I apologize for taking so long to post them. I still can't believe how wonderfully awesome everything is. Prepare to be overloaded with coolness and make sure you have your wisting button ready- here we gooooo..........

Theme 1: T-shirts

The shirts are- cool tree with tire swing, love birds, key to hell, and dream with a red balloon (the last two are from the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman)

Back of the dream t-shirt and the tree stencil

Theme 2: Butterflies
I was really hoping that Mimiw would make me one of her beautiful stained glass works of art. I was blown away when I opened the box and saw this inside:

Unfortunately, it was damaged in shipping- but I think a little super glue can fix that right up!

Butterfly stencil

Theme 3: Simpsons/Futurama

Ralph Wiggum t-shirt

Hand drawn Futurama plates. These things totally rock. I can't wait to use them. I am hoping they are safe to eat off of

Theme 4: Books
I gave mimiw a list of authors that I liked and she decided to craft from the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman

The dream letters and the book mark all have images of Dream decoupaged on them. I love them so much. Here is a close-up

Theme 5: Sustainable/Recycled

A journal cover and pincushion made from recycled wool sweaters. I love them both.

A reversable shopping tote bag. It has two large pockets and I love the colors and the fabrics.

Wow, I think that is everything.

THANK YOU MIMIW!!!!!! you rock the catbox!!!! I only hope you like everything I am making for you as much as I love everything you made for me!

263  Re: Jhonen Vasquez Swap of Doom Gallery in The Swap Gallery by LeapFeetFirst on: May 18, 2008 07:49:47 PM
I received my package from Twisted Truth on Friday, but today was the first day that I felt good enough to venture outside and take pictures.

Here we go!!!

Here is the obligatory group shot

Close-ups!

Jhonen Vasquez coin purse and a question sleep key chain

Invader Zim cross stitch

A couple of paintings. Nny and Gir ( those lines on the outside are from the grass that needs to be cut  Grin )

And lastly- my favorites- Tote Bags!!!

Happy noodle Boy

Ms. Bitters
I guess I didn't take a picture of the front, which is too bad because I really love it! You can see it in the first group shot.
Here is the back (which is one of my favorite quotes from Invader Zim)

Thank you TwistedTruth!! Now I need to find some frames for the paintings so I can hang them up!!

dcoyote asked me to post pictures of what I had sent her. So here we go!

Small:
A H2G2 logo I created with photoshop and stenciled with freezer paper that she can put on whatever she would like

Medium:
I made a bunch of shrinky dink magnets. I also created these with photoshop and used the printable Shrinky Dinks and sealed them with UTEE.

(if you can't tell this is supposed to be a bowl of petunias  Grin)

Large:
She asked for a scarf- so I made her two (the colors are much truer to life in this picture)

Here is a close up of the "42 scarf"

265  Re: A Jar of Mini Whimsies Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by LeapFeetFirst on: April 14, 2008 04:48:59 PM
I received my jar from SamsonsLynnie this afternoon. I had taken all of these wonderful pictures but for some reason my computer did not want to read my memory card so I had to take them over. It was so much fun playing with everything as I pulled it out of the jar.

Here is a the jar after I stuffed everything back in to take a picture  Grin. SamsonsLynnie had it more artfully packed, I just jammed everything in Tongue

Group shot of everything

Closeups of some of my favorite things:
Charms that SamsonsLynne made out of polymer clay- you can kind of see the crochet flowers that she made in the background.

Buttons!

Little Blue Man

Tiny ceramic deer

Now I am off to play with my tiny toys!!

Thank you SamsonsLynnie!!!

267  Re: Gardening Supply Swap! DONE! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by LeapFeetFirst on: March 25, 2008 02:50:29 PM
I am so glad that you like everything lovefindslove, and that it arrived in one piece- I was really worried about that pot!

This was my first time working with polymer clay, and it was so much fun. Since I actually liked  how they turned out here are some close ups of the pot and plant markers  Grin

P.S. I got the hanging strawberry planter at my local garden store. Sorry I had to cut up the box- it just wouldn't fit any other way!

269  Gnome beer cozy in Crochet: Completed Projects by LeapFeetFirst on: March 17, 2008 01:43:08 PM
I made this gnome beer cozy for a swap. My partner had a knitted version in her wist, but since I can't knit, I thought I would try to make a crochet version. It was so much fun to make, although I did have to make it three times before I was happy with the way it fit on the bottle. With out further ado-

And a close-up of the stitches

P.S. My first Craftster completed project post!!!

270  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 31 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by LeapFeetFirst on: March 13, 2008 02:19:17 PM
I received my package from igobylorib today. She had claimed me for some reuseable veggie bags and yarn.

The bags are just perfect, she made some from muslin and some from mosquito netting. I like the fact that you can see into the mosquito netting ones. The yarn is a super soft cotton yarn made in Chile. And she included an awesome owl mirror.

Thank you so much igobylorib!!
