Hi hi. I've recently started getting into leatherworks. Here are some recent masks I made.

12  Wesley the Hyena Done in 3D in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by DeviSaya on: June 08, 2011 11:53:49 AM
So I'm trying to get some more 3D pieces together before I start shipping out applications. Rendered this charming fella in Autodesk Maya. Kinda getting the hang of this.

13  Dia de los Muertos Bird Mask in Costumes: Completed Projects by DeviSaya on: June 05, 2011 05:54:18 PM
Not sure if this is the best section for this project or not, since I think it's more for decoration than wearing. shruuuug

But yah, I made this mask in a woodworking class a while back. Second wooden creation I'd ever made, so I was pretty happy with it. Just today I decided to paint her all sexy like. I adore Day of the Dead face paint. Any excuse to use it is dandy with me.

Before the paint:

14  The Art of Soul Stealing in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by DeviSaya on: May 18, 2011 08:19:05 PM
Recently spent an entire course developing a character and many elements involving her(such as environment, secondary characters, story, ect).

Here is my concept art for the lovely voodoo-esque demon Marinette Yaga.

And here is my final project. I decided to begin a comic based around the character. I tried an experimental style, which I'm totally loving so far. Gonna hopefully finish this for NY Comicon.

Also, I'm not sure how to make these big enough to read in craftster, so if you want to read it you can find bigger versions here: http://katielawter.blogspot.com/2011/05/marinette-yaga.html

15  Elixirs and Pickled Specimen in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by DeviSaya on: May 18, 2011 08:04:35 PM
So I plan on vending at an upcoming Monster Mania Con in NJ. And to make sure I have more than just art prints I'm going through aaaaall the crafty stuff I've gathered over time and seeing what horror inspired trinkets I can add to my display. These were a lot of fun to make. The Mongolian Death Worm is my favorite. The unlabeled amber colored liquid ones are going to be label as various tonics.

16  Siamese Twins and Robots Galore(contains nudity) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by DeviSaya on: November 23, 2010 01:15:44 PM
I've been playing around more and more with oils, which I'm definitely growing fond of. Here are two of my more successful works to come out of that oil madness. I hope to play around a lot more with it, despite its damn dry time. Boooooo.

17  Adventure Time Meets the Apocalypse(Pic Chunky) in Costumes: Completed Projects by DeviSaya on: October 12, 2010 08:18:36 AM
Hello hello. Just went to the NY comicon this weekend and thought I'd show the costume I made. I went as Finn from Adventure Time with a dystopian twist.

A close up of the little painting I did that is hanging from my belt.

Yay for costumes that involve copious amounts of patches and sucky sewing XD.

18  Makeup if Adventure Time's Finn was put through a blender in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by DeviSaya on: October 06, 2010 08:19:01 AM
Hope special effects makeup fits in this section, since beauty isn't exactly what I'm aiming for.

Going as Adventure Time's Finn for the ny comicon, except with a dystopian twist. I plan on adding a far more image heavy costume oriented post once comicon has passed, but if interested if interested I have a piece of concept here: http://katielawter.blogspot.com/2010/08/finn-colored.html

It doesn't apply to this post much, cause the concept is super clean, where the costume will be dirty and bloody. Bwahaha.

So heres the makeup I whipped on in a few minutes just to get an idea of what I would do. So I'd love to get any suggestions from you folk. I definitely need more blue to make it more bruised and less bloody for starters. Rhombus! 8D

Based this on the dress of musician Emilie Autumn: http://www.emilieautumn.com/posts/StripeDress/dress.jpg

This beast is heaaaaaavvyyyyy. But I love it anyway.

Mostly based off this tutorial: http://community.livejournal.com/steamfashion/791377.html

Just minus the drawstrings and with an extra layer.
