1  Re: Dotee Doll Any Holiday Gallery in The Swap Gallery by stellou on: December 03, 2014 12:26:15 PM
Ha, I look away 5 minutes and here comes a fantastic gallery Grin
But I'm not jealous at all coz I have the cutest ever Christmas robin, crocheted by Wendiek and with holly in the tail (which I managed to photograph backwards Embarrassed). She went for my animal at Christmas theme and I love it to bits...

I have received an amazing parcel from the talented mrraawwr Grin
Take a second to prepare your pinning fingers....
Here is a Yoga bag with one of my bestest favourite creature: the Green man. The other side has some ribbon flowers and have a peep at the lining!
the colours are a lot better in real life

She made me a fabulous mushroom pincushion with a snail on it (and plenty of room to hold all my pins!)

And a crocheted stone pendant WITH REAL PRESSED FLOWERS Shocked

There was also some incredibly cute dragonflies for my garden (shown here in my upside down courgette)

and this jaw dropping handmade card

and this succulent pot of jelly (reminded me of the hours I'd spent sucking on lilac flowers as a kid Smiley )

There was also a US army FQ which will make a great something for my boys. Here is a picture of the whole lot together

As you can see I have been well and truly spoilt  Cool Thank you so much mrraawwr!
Now I just have to bite my nail and hope my partner likes what I made for her

4  Re: Spirit/Intention Doll Swap - GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by stellou on: May 21, 2014 10:46:26 AM
And I RECEIVED Grin all the way from Australia to England a wonderful garden/healing spirit doll. Her name is Elder and she is too pretty to go out so she will care for my aspidistra  and look at the yard from the window Wink

Mu favourite bit is probably (until I change my mind, cos she's really groovy) this little birdie that Alittlemusthave has modelled from clay.

Isn't she lovely?

Thank you so much, Alittle musthave.

My turn, my turn...prepare your Pin it fingers Grin

My amazing partner just spoilt me so much, I feel like today is both Christmas and my birthday
First I got some very pretty packages (I'd ripped the first one when I opened the parcel Roll Eyes)

So here is a super duper glasses case which will hold my glasses at night so I can find them in the morning Shocked Cool

Then a cute zipper pouch in a brown swede type material with appliques (I think they look like toadstools on the forest ground) perfect to store emergency travelling craft supplies

I also got some bright comfy slippers for my (always) cold feet  Shocked

Finally Kookaloo Star sent me this incredible lap blanket because I said that I was a shiver bones. (there it is on my garden table) It's colourful, it's warm and it's like a hug...I LOVE IT

The square pattern is called willow it's beautiful and I love the name. Here is a close up.

Thank you so much Kookaloo_Star, you made me feel very privileged. If you have better photos please post them as I think I could be a contestant for "Worst photographer of the year 2014" Wink

6  Re: Spirit/Intention Doll Swap (S.U. CLOSED!; MAIL BY 6/2/14) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by stellou on: May 15, 2014 12:25:19 PM
Lovely lace you've got there, Sharelee.

I am very impatient to receive from Alittlemusthave  Smiley. But I seem to be a little slower probably because of this strange adventure I have just had...I tried to make a healing garden spirit and let the process come by itself without fighting it. Well this is what happened...first I found a piece of orange fabric in a random shelf far from the rest of my fabrics Shocked...then when I sewed my female shape...I turned it into a man Huh...then my green hair became red and orange Roll Eyes and so behold
There goes Loki, the wildfire, the trickster, the shape changer Grin who had decided to pay a visit...

I will now go back to the drawing board and create a healing garden spirit for my partner Smiley

Just as well Kookaloo_star... I have been very naughty and got distracted from working on my swap items by the arrival of this baby yesterday...

Behold my great-grandma's sewing machine, given to her in 1922 by her husband on the birth of her first daughter. She clothed her whole family (including my mum and auntie whom she looked after). It was very dirty from 35 years hiding in an attic but the action is still working.

9  quilted paper pieced taggy in Quilting: Completed Projects by stellou on: March 26, 2014 04:08:52 AM
So I have a new niece...I wanted to make her a taggy (I've made her a quilt already) and I've just discovered paper piecing.
It measures about 8x8 inches

The choice of animals may look odd but it's part of one of my sister's favourite songs (which has my niece's name in Wink )
Unfortunately one of the ribbons is twisted but I hope it doesn't spoil the whole thing...

Oh, Sloth...I hope you're OK. There is nothing worse than headaches Sad

I have finished my baby quilt for my niece and delivered it Saturday in Paris (I live in the UK).
Here goes my friendship star quilt...with the right date of birth quilted in it  Cheesy (I'd originally put 2013 doh)

Now I need to get going on DS1's knights and wizards quilt...or else Wink
