2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Handspun Bridesmaid shawl/scarves.. One down, 5 to go.. on: March 26, 2010 02:55:29 PM
That's awesome! I totally love the shimmer and warmth of that scarf/shawl. The beads on the ends are a great touch. Good going! Are the other ones going to be the same color or something totally different? I feel the need to get some Huge needles and knit a scarf like that.
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: The Beginner's Top-Down Raglan (patt. incl.) on: March 20, 2009 08:19:22 PM

Is anyone still knitting the raglans? I just started this week, and i'm really excited. I've gotten past the shoulder part and am knitting the body, so now i just have to speed knit for a while. I'll post a pic when i'm done!

oh, and all the sweaters look amazing! Good job everyone!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Berroco Suede - anyone know how to make this yarn work? on: January 18, 2009 05:16:52 PM
I knitted the Coachella top from Knitty (http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer07/PATTcoachella.html)... frogged and then again... in the size small. It fits ok, just the drape changes All the Time. It just doesn't want to Stay in one shape. It starts out being decent, and then a little later you can almost see Everything...
So, any tips as to what to do?
And since I bought some more of the yarn.... can you think of any cool patterns to do with it?
All suggestions welcome!

9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Chicken wire? ... on: December 09, 2007 09:13:16 AM
So I bought a whole bunch of chicken wire for a model i was making for class. The model turned out fine, but now i have a bunch of extra wire lying around... in my room... taking up space. It's about 3x6 feet, really pokey, attacks anything that comes near it.  Undecided
Anyone have any ideas?
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Microwave bean bags! [pic heavy] on: December 02, 2007 12:56:50 AM
For serious, it's COLD. I'm sitting on our couch right now, and my leg that is not covered by my blanket is already numb from coldness.
Also, I thought it would be neat to sew some buttons on the shams, so that we can tell them apart (and keep them closed).
