I had this poppy-scarf in my previous topic and mentioned that I was going to make a skirt in the same way... so finally here it is!

the skirt is made out of wolen fabric so I lined it completely. I even was patient enough to hand sew the the lining on to the zipper!

and this one is the same pattern but not lined

yes a little, but in this case I did it on purpose so I would end up with a little bump in the middle as the hart of the flowers

oeh! I made a couple of haltertops with a detachable hood a couple of years ago. It looks realy original I think.
Love the fabric!

yeah well the second scarf keeps on playing in my mind. Mostly I start from 1 idea and just go from there. with that one i started from a pile of lace, satin and ribbon I had put together not knowing what exactly i wanted to do with it. At that time it looked perfect together, but now I'm wondering what's off with it... I tried leaving the satin of, but then it looked plain and not Chic. and the purple on the other hand was necessary to give it some extra spice... grr the line between off en right on top can be so thin...

also good to hear that the visible zipper does not bother people... I had my doubts if that would look unprofessional... ow and the fabric was just a coupon I dug up, so I'm afraid I don't have a clue if there even still exists any more of it

and as for the poppies: yes I spend quite some hours on that, but when I can ready see the way I want something to become, I can go for hours to get it done  Cool
