1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / UK<-->US hands across the water Round 2 SIGN UP CLOSED, send out 21/04) on: March 10, 2006 09:27:55 AM
Swap name: UK<-->US hands across the water Round 2
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: SarahJayne
Sign-up date range:09/03-21/03
Date to send item by:21/04

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): This swap is limited to 10 US-ians and 10 Uk-ers unless we ahve more than 10 uk-ers and then sign-ups will reopen for that number of US-ians

Non-U.S. participants allowed? of course

All ages allowed? Or 18+? everyone

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES/NO

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES/NO

Details of swap:
BACK BY POPULAR (well at least by my) DEMAND! This swap, which is very liberal, will give those US and UK cousins a chance to really knock each other's socks off. We'll trade the very best of anything to do with our respective countries, including (as possible) the fondest desires of your swapping partner (as long as it's clean & legal, LOL). Anything goes, but please try to keep your budget in mind - we don't want you going broke. Jewelry? Chocolate? Tea? Those tiny bottles of hair gel? Oatmeal? "My cousin went to Kokomo and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"? Marmite? Anything you can think of that those on either side of us can't live without. This is better than a "My Country Doesn't Have..." this is "We GOTTA have it!"

You can work with your swap partner through communication so you can stay within the range of what is reasonable. You'll post a list of your 10 most desired items (again, within reason) and if you can't think of 10, ask for a surprise. Crafting is welcomed, but not totally required. If you find you can craft something in lieu of finding it ready made, all the nicer. US and UK relations will be never better than before after this swap is done!

And again....crafting IS optional, this is primarily a goods swap!

Thanks to Lucy VP for the original swap Smiley and all this info

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?

List 10 things you would like to recieve from your partner, more than 10 is fine, if you can't think or that many ask for a surprise!

Sent and Recived

8  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Uk crafters wanted for swap on: January 27, 2006 03:28:53 AM
There is a US<--->UK swap happening soon and we are short of UK crafters. The swap actaully does not necessarily involve craft, just sending goodies from the uk over to the US

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Finally plucked up the courage. on: November 29, 2005 09:09:20 AM
Okay, so after dipping my toe in the water at www.craftermath.co.uk I have been reasurred that I have nothing to be scared of posting things I have made on here. I've been around on here for a long time but never posted any of my own work, so here it goes *closes eyes and crosses fingers*
This is a star pendant which I made from sheet sterling silver.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Plastic findings on: November 10, 2005 04:25:39 AM
OKay, so i ahve googled for hours and searched through this place, this is my cry for help, I amlooking for plastic jewellery findings such as lobster clips etc and plastic chain in different colours. Not the stuff that you can use to cordon off sections of rooms, i have found lots of that and it's too big.

Also needs to be located in or able to ship to the UK.

Thanks guys.
