Here is my late entry lol.

I processed this from raw wool to plied yarn.  It's 63 yards.  I call it the Arrogant Bastard but it was for a spinning challenge over on Ravelry.

I finished this roving up after starting it during July.  All spun on a drop spindle, plied on a Navajo spindle.  There's 435 yards of lace weight 2 ply yarn.

I finally have an offering lol.

This is Yosemite Paradise, it's exmoor horn, rare breed sheep.  270 yards, lace weight.  All spindle spun and plied.

This is what the fiber looked like before spinning.

Wow all those yarns look great!

KRJ, grats on the new wheel!

Zombie queen,  I too recently got back on the plying road too.

So I don't have any finished yarns to offer up this week.  I did finish the BFL I was working on, it's the white in the picture, I just don't know what I want to ply it with.
The purple is a WIP, I have close to 6 oz of it, it's going to take me awhile lol.

Here's the purple on the spindle.  It's Ashland Bay, if you ever get a chance to work with this companies fibers, go for it, it's dreamy.  This is my third go around with thier fibers.

5  Fun with a support spindle! in Spinning: Completed Projects by Cheyenneswthrt07 on: July 13, 2010 02:00:07 PM
My dad made me a Russian support spindle with a matching bowl to go with it.  I'm finally getting the drafting down, it's a bit different from suspended spindling, which gives you two hands to draft with, with support spindles you do it with one hand.  I learned on some crappy merino, but I broke out some lush Alpaca.  It's drafting pretty easy and spinning up beautifully and I'm having a lot of fun with the support spindle, may have to get another  Cheesy

ETA: after posting realized I didn't post with the matching bowl.  The bowl in the picture is a small ceramic $.50 thrift store find lol.

I put an updated photo of the skein at the bottom of my post.  I finished it lol.  Took 2 days but I did it lol.

ETA: I double checked my first post.  That was a sucky picture, taken prior to setting the twist.  Here is a happy finished photo that looks better lol.

Ack!  I couldn't let Friday go without a post!  Grin

I'm still in the middle of plying my singles, I should be done later today, I'm letting the caffienne permeate a little more in my body lol.

This is the Ashland Bay Merino in English Garden, 4 oz.

Here is the in process of detangling a mess of my singles.  Which is why it's taking 2 days to ply my singles.  I was attempting to make a plying ball lol.

ETA: Finished plying, finished project is 238 yards of laceweight.

8  2 new spindles! in Spinning: Completed Projects by Cheyenneswthrt07 on: June 09, 2010 06:20:31 PM
Both from my dad.  The first is a small lightweight spindle, it's super cute, but wobbles alot as it's .28 oz light.  I can get it to work and it spins thin, I told my dad that I would make it a pretty home to sit in lol.  May make a nice travel spindle, maybe for car travel where all you can do is park and draft, kwim.

This one is heavier, it's just over an ounce.  It spins forever and don't have to park and draft with it, which is a first for me.

And then of course my mom the enabler, who bought me this stash of fiber, except for the BFL in the upper left corner, I bought that, I got a great deal on it.

Wow I'm resurecting this post from the dead bwahahaha.

I received a wonderful angel, MissColee, and her gift was awesome.  This will be somewhat pic heavy so I appologize.   I love it all.

First off, an Iphone cozy, mine was charging when I took the pic.

A waterbottle carrier and fingerless mitts.  Oh how I've wanted fingerless mitts for the longest time!!!!

Awesome clipboard and notebook, check out the signed card!! LOVE it!

A tin, which is already containing my stitch markers!!! (BTW, her 6 y/o crafted this, how awesome is that!!)

And of course a Cool as all Get Out, project back which I instantly put to work, it's holding a lace crochet project and some spinning  Grin

Thanks so much for all the awesome goodness.
