1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: Lazy man's corset! on: July 29, 2006 02:53:19 AM
ok, so im kind of stupid and cant figure out how to change my picture formats to what the picture website will download, soooo, that being said, unfortunately this tutorial wont have any pictures. But its really easy!

1. Basic t-shirt....cut out the section you see in red on my pictures from the front of the t-shirt. Then hem the edges of the shirt you cut

2. Cut off as much of the sleeve as you want, or i suppose you could just leave it. Remember to hem the parts you cut.

3. I took the fabric I was going to use in the middle and kind of just cut out a chunk (kind of a waste of fabric...but I'm not really a proficient seamstress yet) that will fit in the space you cut out. Take the middle piece and hem the top and bottom.

4. Sew the middle piece into the space with the shirt hems on the outside.

5. I took two pieces of black ribbon and just free handed them into criss crosses, to make sure they were the right length. Then when i was satisfied with the criss crosses I just hand sewed them where they crease, like on the sides of the shirt where i put the black and red ribbon.

6. I just measured and sewed the black and red ribbon on the sides to cover up the shirt hem and the sewing on the other ribbon.

I probably didn't make it as clear as possible, but i wish you could see my really horrible computer drawings....but i just now realised i could just hand draw them and then scan them.....D'oh! oh well, perhaps i will later. Thanks again for your sweet comments!

I firstly would like to say that I am so (excuse my french but its the only way to describe it) fucking happy that this board is in existence, I cant tell you how much I sit around thinking that no one i know understands how I feel. But reading this board I know there are others and I don't think I have ever felt such an actual positive bond amongst people....so THANKYOU!!  Sorry I'm not normally like this.....Anyway enough with the touchy feely crap....

I had this black t-shirt from Lane Bryant that was sitting in my closet taunting me that I spent 20 bucks on it and had never worn it outta the house....

So i showed it who's boss....

Please excuse the bra popping out.....
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: Feeny is my homeboy. on: November 05, 2005 03:57:35 PM
Holy crap, this is awesome. Once my friend and i were screwing around on the internet and found an e-mail adress for the boy meets world people, so we wrote Feeny a love note, with a poem that didnt make any sense. It said something about his eyes looking like austrailian toaster biscuits, and when we read it out loud we had to do it in an english accent. I dont know, we were bored. Needless to say he didnt write back.....
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: donovan, fabrizio,& fiona (NOW WITH GILES THE OWL!!!!!) on: April 14, 2005 04:06:06 PM
Thanks for all the cool feedback! I promised myself I would make all my friends animals for christmas....but ah....I am not a woman of her word. You know how laziness goes! But I am working on a hippo, and another monkey. So maybe in a couple years I'll have an evil petting zoo....MWAA HAHAAAAHAAA
7  Oregon / Oregon: Northwest / Re: suicide survivors in portland who want a way to remember their loved ones? on: April 14, 2005 01:33:03 AM
Two of my friends were recently released from the psych ward for suicide attempts/thoughts, luckily they're both physically ok. Yet just having them attempt it put such a strain on my own mental health, and obviously not to mention their own. I almost worried myself to death, so I cant even fathom knowing someone who actually died from it. I just wanted to tell you that I really admire you for doing what you're doing. I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you well.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / BEST YARN EVER! on: April 14, 2005 01:16:11 AM
I suck at knitting......But I swear if you want something that is worth your time and money....use Red Heart Light and Lofty......I knit myself a scarf in a day with one skein which cost $4...its really long and soft and fuzzy. I love it. Its a really cool color and its sort of variegated so if you mess up, you cant really see it...I know I sound like some maniacal Red Heart promoter...but seriously. If you're cheap, impatient and still expect the best...try this yarn!
heres a not so good picture of my creepy mannequin head wearing my glorious scarf

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Half assed projects.....show me yours & ill show you mine! on: April 13, 2005 11:23:02 PM
Ive wanted to paint my bluh dresser for like 4 years now....but I've been too stricken with this disease we'll call...sloth. So I painted 1 drawer about 2 years ago....then i got lazy and left the other 3 blank until the other day. I decided I'd really take it seriously this time, so I sat down with as much determination a 20 year old can muster and ended up with a 1/2 an hour gone and 2 more crappily painted drawers. I didnt even paint water behind the fish!! Just think....only 1 more paint job to complete mediocrity! And according to my schedule that will only take me another 7 years...YESSSSS
