1  Mr. Squishy Delishy. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by lil_starry1 on: April 17, 2011 01:30:10 AM
My youngest (Percy) has been nicknamed Squishy Delishy, because... well he is! See:

So I made him a top! Boys clothes can be so dull here in the UK, so I brought a girly green top and painted it. I was rather influenced by the Glee Slushy. He loves it...

I also made my daughters some fun shoes, quite simple because they will inevitably trash them with all their puddle jumping.

2  Autumn on a top! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by lil_starry1 on: November 10, 2009 01:10:52 PM
Autumn is my favourite time of year as it inspires me endlessly, I recently made this t-shirt for a collaboration with some other sahm's! It's a kiddies top and the colours used were done so to match a nappy and some wool! I'm really pleased with how it came out and would love to hear your comments/criticisms!

3  Re: A Week of Baby Onesies Swap Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by lil_starry1 on: October 31, 2009 05:24:02 AM
Nolan is such a cutie! It was such a pleasure to craft for him!

I was completely spoiled and am still bouncing with glee everytime I look at my lovely things! Sorry for taking a few days to get pics, it was my husbands thirtieth birthday yesterday so things have been a little chaotic. Here are some pics of my girls in their tops and the other things Barbolot made! We just found out what we're having next time so it was lovely to know these onesies will go to our first son!! Eeep boy babies, not had one of those before  Tongue

First, a few action pics! My girls wore their tops to the beach and at least 5 people stopped to tell us how colourful, vibrant and beautiful they looked! I told each person that a wonderful mumma in America had made them and they were all amazed that such a thing was possible

A top for Mirabelle, her middle name is Rainbow so this is just perfect! I love it and may not let her wear it 'cos I don't want it to get dirty  Wink

Two gorgeous onesies for the baby! Our lovely package arrived just as we returned from our 20 week scan so I was already a little emotional and seeing this just made it seem so much more real, they are incredibly gorgeous and I can't believe we're going to have another one so small!!

A top for Beebe, isn't it beautiful? She loves it and is amazed that she has a top with her name on!

Thank you so so much Barbolot, best swap ever!!

4  A Christening present for Evelyn Rose. in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by lil_starry1 on: August 30, 2009 02:04:11 AM
My niece is being Christened today and not one to follow tradition I decided the best gift I could give her would be something I made just for her. I wanted to celebrate her name, unfortunately Evelyn doesn't have a meaning I could translate to canvas, and I didn't want to paint her name because they mostly call her Evie! Her middle name however is a family name and is perfect, Rose! Originally I was going to paint a rose but I realised after some sketching it wouldn't be very child friendly, so I doodled some more and came up with this... She is only 5 months but has blonde hair and blue eyes so I went with that for the fairies features.

I used acrylic paints and lots of glitter! I also used some squeezy paints to give texture and depth. The one slightly artsy shot isn't the best for showing the painting but it does show how glittery the whole thing is (the wings have lots of little glittery flowers on them!)

Would love to hear your thoughts  Grin

5  Re: VDAY Cookie Swap Gallery of Sweets in The Swap Gallery by lil_starry1 on: February 25, 2009 06:19:18 AM
I am so late putting these pics up   Lips sealed I had a serious case of illness (after my children being ill... ) but hoorah we're all on the up AND I had such a great swap! My partner: princessketu is AMAZING! I received the goodies on Valentines day itself, which was lovely. Unfortunately i was so ill I couldn't eat anything for a few days but everyone else enjoyed their goodies and were really pleased that I'd taken part in a swap that meant tasty things.

I have a few more pictures on my fiancees computer but for now:

I received cinnamon biscuits which were subtle and delicious! Plus they had the most fantastic icing!

My daughters received a batch EACH of sugar cookies, again SO fantastically decorated, I don't think I managed to get pictures as they demolished them ever so quickly.

The biscuits came wrapped so beautifully, it was really pretty and very impressive:

I also received some polymer goodies from my WIST's, the most adorable doughnut earrings that are teeny and fantastic:

And a carrot cake charm (that I've not taken a pic of yet because it's in constant use!)
Ohhh and I received bathbombes!! Home made and gorgeous! There was Strawberries and Cream, Pina colada and cookies and cream! I've already used the Pina colada one and it was really good.

Thank you again for my lovely bits!! I am thrilled.

6  Everything's cute in small sizes! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by lil_starry1 on: October 08, 2008 11:41:51 PM
I lurk and comment a lot, but this is my first time ever posting something I've made !!
I paint children's tops, I love making things brighter and funkier and not relying on the same old popular characters. I've also started working with felt .. Here are a few of my creations.

7  Re: Craft for my Kid Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by lil_starry1 on: June 18, 2008 04:36:39 AM
Our lovely package from Macesmeme arrived a week ago now, unfortunately a tempremental (or just plain mental) keyboard has postponed pictures! But, here they are!!

The package arrives, and both my girls are excited!

The beautiful dress that fits both my daughters ! Hooray for double usage! (And it will reappear next summer as a swing top, and the summer after as a swing top for the youngest  Tongue )

Another beautiful dress / top - that again fits both my girls!

A sock monkey and some M&M's (the fact that they were in a box proved to be a huge novelty!) There's a bracelet for Beebe that Mirabelle loves, and the monkey came with a great banana bag. My eldest stripped the monkey completely and takes it with her every nap!

Mirabelle and her patchwork turtle that has been named "Muffin"

I thought I'd taken a picture of everything, but I can't find it... It was a wonderful package that cheered us all up! Thank you for such a great first swap!
