1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Beatles inspired bag on: May 23, 2008 10:10:15 PM
Hi everyone! So, I recently finished my latest stenciled project. Stenciling i am addicted to ugh! Anyway, my favorite band is The Beatles and I am completely obsessed with Octopi! So, lucky for me my two favorite things can be combined! So here it is!

I started with a plain black canvas bag I got from wal mart in the craft department. I picked out some paints and picked out some pictures I wanted for my bag. I printed out my pictures and traced them out on freezer paper. Did all that junk you needed to do then I painted it white since acrylic paint seeps through since its mostly clear. I wanted to go over it but I decided to just hand paint it the way I wanted it! So everything is hand painted with all the details put in it how I thought it should be. The peace sign flowers I couldnt find any stencil for so I put them on there myself and also the bubbles which took forever! Anyway! I love my bag so much! I came out great. Here are some pictures Smiley

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Macro Photo Challenge: Alive Seaweed on: May 03, 2008 12:50:52 AM
I took this picture at the Maui Ocean center in Hawaii. It is a form of live seaweed/tentacle type plant. I took it with my Canon s5 IS. By far one of my favorite Macro shots I have took. No Photoshop used. Enjoy

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Across the Universe/beatles themed shirt. on: May 01, 2008 05:36:48 PM
Since I didnt get to do the across the universe swap, I got inspired! I went to the local goodwill and got a cheap white t shirt and cut off the neck line. I bought some fabric paint and some paint brushes and freezer paper. I found font I liked and just kinda threw some of my fav qoutes from the movie. I did the strawberry by hand with no stencil. Here it is!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Easy bag to make? on: February 22, 2008 05:30:53 PM
So last summer, I had bought tons and tons of tye dye fabric for the gypsy river festival in southern oregon to make bags. Sadly the festival was canceled. I now have tons this fabric but in squares. I am going to the festival this year but the bags i were going to make were rather boring. Does anyone know a easy bag/purse I can make thats less time consuming? I would really appreciate it!
