11  Yummy Baby Bib! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: January 01, 2007 08:01:24 PM
I finally finished this baby bib for my girl Darcy!  All patterns are from the new book, and the bib came from Sublime Stitching.

It's really too big for her right now, but I don't think I'm actually going to use it when it does fit.  It's too cute to get stains on it!  So I'll be packing it away as a keepsake.

P.S.  Sorry for the crappy shot, but trying to get an 11 week old baby to sit still for a photo shoot is a little challenging.

12  Sweet Treat Napkins! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: November 24, 2006 10:35:21 AM
A few months ago, I scored 12 vintage linen napkins from an estate sale for only $3.00.  Just perfect for embroidery projects!

I decided to do a dessert set, using patterns from the newest book.  YUMMY!

I added the swirls for more flavor.

Who else has a sweet tooth?

13  Unicorn Birthday Banner in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: November 24, 2006 10:29:45 AM
Well, I've been out of commission for a while, due to recently giving birth to my first baby!  But a couple of weeks ago, I managed to stitch up one of the blank banners I purchased from Sublime Stitching.  Yay for sales!

I decided to use the Unicorn Believer patterns, as well as a star border from Jenny's newest book and the hearts are from the Chi-Chi Fever patterns.

I thought it was a cute idea to put her birthday in the clouds.

Thanks for looking!

14  Lucha Libre shirt for the man in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: January 28, 2006 08:30:21 AM
My husband had been asking me to embroider the Lucha Libre patterns on a shirt for him.  I finished this last month, but I'm just getting around to posting.

Back.

I would have liked to add more detailing on the masks, but was rushed for time due to the holidays.  Perhaps I'll pick it up again for more embellishment.   Roll Eyes

15  It's Sushi Time! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: January 15, 2006 03:27:33 PM
Last night I finished a couple of kitchen towels using the "Sushi Bar" patterns.  Overall I like the way they turned out.  It's just a bummer that the photo doesn't reflect the true colors.  Especially on the light green towel.  Perhaps I'll attempt taking more pictures in better light, but for now this gets the point across.

Personally, I only eat veggie sushi, but I know a lot of other peeps like the fishy kind.  But I do love the patterns!  I got fancy and did the rice in french knots & added some detailing to the hands in seed stitch.

Thanks for looking.   Wink

16  Knitty Kitty! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: November 27, 2005 11:42:44 AM
I thought I would post a picture of a tote bag I made for a craft swap I'm participating in.  It's the "Animal Lovers" swap & November was pet month.  My partner loves cats & she's a knitter, so I made her a new knitting bag.

I used patterns from "Cat-a-Rama" & "Craftopia".

Thanks for looking!

17  Sugar Skull Jack-o-lantern! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: October 28, 2005 04:42:46 PM
Hi there!

I wanted to share one of the pumpkins I carved the other night.  I decided to use the sugar skull from the Dia de los Muertos patterns.  I just drew a copy, as not to ruin my iron-on & to get a larger image.

This was my first attempt at the "etching" technique I've seen used on lots of pumpkins.  I think it turned out alright.

Once again, I apologize for the shoddy photo.   Tongue

See yas!

18  Super Sparkly Cherries! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Early Bird Special on: October 02, 2005 08:32:54 PM
I bought a plain black hoodie last week for my stepdaughter, with the intention of embroidering the cherries from the "Tattoo" collection on it.  I was working in satin stitch & thought to myself, 'This needs some sparkle to it.'  So I grabbed my container of sequins and went to town!

This is the end result:

I really like how it turned out and it only took about an hour of total stitching time.

19  Hedwig & the Angry Inch Portrait! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Early Bird Special on: September 24, 2005 07:49:11 PM
So I made this for my partner in the Hedwig and the Angry Inch swap.  I did post it in the swap gallery, but I couldn't resist showing it off in here too.

Here she is:

This is my first completed portrait & I'm really pleased with how it came out.

What do you think?  Smiley

Woo-hoo!  I'm so glad you got the package today!  I knew you'd understand about the embroidery not being in a frame, due to shipping.

Here is a box I fixed up, complete with glued sugar daddy wrappers.  (Which were a *total* nightmare, btw!  Those wrappers have some sort of wax which is *really* resiliant to glue.)  I hand glued a ton of jewels all over the box, along with a different image of Hedwig on all sides.

Take a look:

For the inside, I put some zebra print fabric, a mirror & some glitter shellacked gummi bears!

I also made a scarf for Linda.  Now I know this doesn't relate directly to the movie, but I couldn't resist when I found the yarn.  It's totally fit for a rockstar.  Perhaps we could get one of you modeling the scarf?

Last but not least, my baby for this swap, a portrait of Hedwig that I drew, painted & hand embroidered.

I hope you enjoy everything as much as I enjoyed crafting!  I had a lot of fun on this swap & I can't wait to see what everyone else got!   Kiss

xoxo
