11  Plain turquoise and agate necklace. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by 3littlechicks on: May 01, 2008 04:28:35 PM
hi Smiley

I was looking for just plain necklaces, ones without wire on them, as I get itchy with wire on my skin. This is turquoise, and a nice yellow agate pendant, which has yellow, brown, and robin's egg blue, really hot colors right now Cheesy. I just strung a turquoise necklace, then added the pendant by sticking a head pin through it and making a loop. Thanks for looking!

12  Seed bead native earrings in Beads: Completed Projects by 3littlechicks on: May 01, 2008 04:07:42 PM
Hello, I'm sorry for the poor quality pics, it's the only camera that I have Embarrassed

The art of using porcupine quills is dying out, I'm going to try and learn some more about it and use them in other projects. I got these quills from roadkill. I think I'll have enough for many more projects, the spirit of the animal is respected by me using as much of his body as I can.

My swap partner, 1boy1girl1kitty2, really spoiled me by making me a rainbow twirly skirt!!!! Can you believe it?? How cool is that? She even put chicken squares in it, which is my fav.  Cheesy. I only hope she loves her gift as much as I loved mine!

it is more than 8 feet across!

One of the chicken blocks...this made me very happy!

My 3 yr old had to try it on, since it was on her bed...Smiley

Sorry for the pic quality, the outside is really muddy, I will update with action shots after the weekend.

I was really spoiled, thank you!

16  It's a nice day......for a GOTH wedding.....:D....I took more pics in the light in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by 3littlechicks on: March 19, 2008 09:36:00 PM
My topic was "wedding" and I wanted to make something that I thought represented all the detail and opulence of early couture, with the feeling of today's open minded approach to wedding attire....

This is Clover in her wedding dress, complete with traveling jacket and overskirt, and, when she wants, she can also take the jacket and overskirt off to dance the night away!

and underneath....

This is what I started with (it was floor length)...a plush red velvet dress.

....and this, some lace that I cut off an old slip.

I then cut out a vest shape and gathered a folded in half strip for the edges.
like this...

I then fooled around with the pieces a bit, figuring out what needed more gathered edges, where to attatch ties for the jacket...ect..

This is the beautiful rabbit girl, all ready to be dressed.. (with yarn eyeshadow in the 2nd pic...lol)

the back view (sorry, I have a crappy old camera)

The front.....

the side, detail on jacket (i really wish for a better cam!)

Here she is with the jacket off again, I made a necklace out of a single earring I had, and some black swarovski (sp..lol) crystals.

17  A caloriemetry and a knit bonnet in Knitting: Completed Projects by 3littlechicks on: March 18, 2008 11:26:58 AM
These are 2 really quick projects to do, the caloriemetry was from knitty.com, and the bonnet was from a picture of a red bonnet (on here, but I can't find it yet, if I do I'll add it in) that I copied.

The calorie-thing, I just made from 100% wool, but the ribs didn't show up too good, I like the color though, and the bonnet, just red heart acrylic.
