23  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / cable knit cardigan turned bag, hounds tooth lining :) on: January 20, 2009 11:24:43 AM
last night i was just browsing craftster feeling totally inspired. and i hadn't sewn in like a month and a half. So, i got to thinking about what i had in my stash, which i coincidentally have this AWESOME hounds tooth thats green and brown, then i dawned on me, i have this Eddie Bauer stretch cable cardigan in the perfect brown. i dissected it and this is what i came up with.

24  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Apple Green Living Room (Drowning in Pictures) on: January 19, 2009 06:09:58 PM
can we switch homes PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?!?! you have an amazing decorating sense and i hope that our home comes together as well as yours. we actually painted our office a similar (little lighter thought) color as your dining room. but i have to say i LOVE the apple green and chocolate brown, they are warm, inviting, and simply gorgeous. you should seriously consider interior design, you would make a fortune.

i've always used feed corn from our local co-op it seems to hold heat a little longer than beans or rice. i've also put lavendar oil in the ones with rice to add an aromatherapy flair. love these for that beloved time of the month  Roll Eyes

So long story short i have this favorite bag of mine, its brown leather made by sonoma (usually sold at kohls i think), and i decided i would "try" and draft up a similar style bag but with plaid, stretchy dark denim and black lace. this is what i came up with and i am really pleased with it. why is it that i CANNOT follow a pattern, but if i think it up it comes out as good as i could ever hope. Comments and Crit very welcome (if you see something that needs improvement pllllzzzz say it, even if it seems mean, i'm really trying to get better and i need all the help i can get.)
