1  HUMONGO Domo-kun in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by indobaybiegrrl on: January 14, 2008 04:13:32 PM
I love all things Japanese, including nonsense plushies and whatnot. So when my friend offered me a whopping $65 for a Domo-kun, I just HAD to. It's up to my hips, and is wider than my body, and 9 inches thick. Quite the plushie!

In addition, i made a fabric ball with some fabric scraps, and received some extra credit in my clothing class! I found the pattern at craftzine.com.

2  paper tulip boquet, since all my REAL flowers died =[ in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by indobaybiegrrl on: December 05, 2007 11:52:17 PM
so im fed up with seeing my flowers die in the winter. not hibernate, but die. i need to learn how to be a good gardener. anyways, i thought my room looked plain without flowers, so i got my origami paper, and voila! paper 3-d tulips =]

i hate how my old camera makes the flowers look so... boring and not flashy like they are in real life.

now if only they smelled beautiful...

3  my first tote bag, and clutch purses/wallets in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by indobaybiegrrl on: December 05, 2007 11:41:44 PM
so i made the tote bag as an extra credit project in my clothing class. the fabric on the outside is a plaid gray w/ orange trim, and the lining is a thin orange. there are 2 pockets in the front, and buttons for decoration. the pics look so gritty, darn you old camera. it looks better in real life, promise!

dont mind all my school stuff. sigh.

and these are the clutches

oh, i love the floral lining, too bad its not really visible.

and a matching pencil pouch since my old rubber one was looking gross

i love plaid and buttons, can you tell?

5  A Hexopod and his scarf collection. in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by indobaybiegrrl on: December 05, 2007 11:09:37 PM
so i finally got around to showing my scarf collection. it did use to include about 20 scarves and 10 hats/beanies, but i gave them all away for the winter for people in san francisco who have to brave that cold, rainy, windy weather. so these are all that i have left. the hexopod was a pattern i found in craftzine.com, and since it was the first time i had done amigurumi, i realized i couldnt do all that in single stitch, the stitches were just too small and tight, and my fingers hurted after a few rows. so i went a step up and used half double crochet, and it came out pretty good. i made a purple one for my english teacher, who in turn gave me her sewing machine ( =D x1000), so i have no pics of that one =[

and the superdesized scarf collection.

this is my favorite slouchy hat in a shocking yellow color =]

i know, this isnt crocheted, but i made this out of some extra fabric i found. houndstooth is awesome!
