1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Felt/Hand-stitched "welcome" Sign on: August 18, 2009 06:32:01 PM
I'm not entirely sure this is where to post...but it is a crafty houseware in a way so here it is!  My project was inspired by the awesomeness at Checkout Girl's blog - she is amazing!  So here is my take on her work:

and a little closer...

i plan on doing more of these - the felt is sooo fun!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Warhol-esque Picture for Mother's Day Gift on: May 07, 2008 09:40:21 PM
So, first off I'm not sure this is the right category... if it's not please move it and accept my apology!
And now, on to the pictures.  This first one is the original; it's me and my mom when I was about 3 (gotta love my mom's great hair  Roll Eyes ).

Here is what I did with it in photoshop.  I know it's not super amazing, but I have very few photoshop skills and I did this in a couple of hours on whim.  So I'm pretty pleased Smiley

If anyone knows a lot about photoshop and wants to give me any pointers, that would be much appreciated!  Thanks for looking!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Mosaic Tray on: April 15, 2008 04:15:49 PM
This is another gift I made for Christmas last year.  I like it but I think it could have been much nicer.  Oh well, it was still the best gift at the dirty santa gift exchange! Wink

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Weasley Clock from Harry Potter on: April 15, 2008 04:11:52 PM
So I'm a bit of a Harry Potter nerd (along with a large part of my family). For Christmas this past year I made a Weasley Clock for my aunt/uncle/cousins.  I was very proud of it!  It actually tells the correct time but it has a hand for each family member as well.

The only thing I wish I had done differently is the color of the paper I used on the photos.  I think sepia tones would have been prettier.
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Christmas Cards..rather out of season on: April 15, 2008 04:04:13 PM
I know it's nowhere near Christmas, but since I'm finally getting around to posting all my projects I thought I would go ahead and do my cards as well.  So here they are!  I hope you all like them, they took ages Cheesy

This last one is the inside of the card.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Bag with Fabric Applique for Mom on: April 15, 2008 03:57:42 PM
Woo..my first project post! Cheesy
I made this bag for my mother and just finished it a few days ago.  It's in the mail now and she should get it in a couple days...i hope she likes it!

Here is a close up of the applique.  I used some of the left over fabric from the lining.

And here is a picture of the lining..which I hand-sewed since I have no sewing machine Sad

I hope you all like it:) Let me know what you think!
