11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tea Wallet on: December 03, 2008 08:31:30 PM
Seeing the fabulous examples of tea wallets on here inspired me to make one.

I made this one to make sure I had the dimensions right, as I will be making these (along with matching coffee cup sleeves) for several of my friends for Christmas.

12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Nautical Themed make-up bag on: November 29, 2008 09:54:27 PM
I made a makeup bag out of some fabric that I purchased as a shower curtain, from Goodwill!

As I thought that the fabric looked nautical, I embroidered an anchor on it.

More photos and information are on my blog.
C&C welcome!!
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Mini Legal Pad Portfolio on: November 29, 2008 07:26:50 PM
One of my best friends has a birthday next week, so I've been trying to figure out what to make for her!  I decided this evening that I'd make her a padfolio for a mini legal pad.  I've seen lots of them on-line, so I just kind of winged it based on what I'd seen and the size of the legal pad.

I used Timetex for stability and did a ribbon and D-ring closure.  I used a decorator fabric for the exterior and quilters cotton (with an iron on interfacing) for the lining.

I'll make some changes when I make another, but all in all - I'm pleased with how it turned out!

C&C appreciated!!
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Crayon Roll / Pouch / Whatever on: November 26, 2008 09:32:12 AM
I guess this is the right place to post this...

I am making crayon rolls/pouches for the kids in my family this year, for Christmas.  I'm also making them tote bags with their initials on them (in the same fabric as the crayon roll that I'm making for them) and giving them crayons.  I hope that they'll like it!!!

This one I made out of home dec fabric...

I've got MANY more to do for Christmas!!!

There will be some changes for the next ones, but all in all, I'm pleased with it!!

C&C welcome!

15  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Has anyone tried this pattern? on: November 12, 2008 07:12:51 PM
I'm thinking of making a few scarves using this pattern:  http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/Accessories/SB300-006+Crochet+Mile-a-Minute+Scarf.htm

Was just wondering if anyone here has made it - and, if so - what did you think of the pattern?

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / New (masculine) Coffee Cuffs on: November 07, 2008 08:07:00 PM
I've been making coffee cuffs / sleeves for a while.  Usually, they are geared toward a female coffee drinker ... So, now I've tried my hand at some more masculine ones......

I have made a vinyl bag that I will probably use to carry makeup or other little things that you want to keep together.

I used 3 different colors of vinyl for this bag!

19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Flower Power hair clips on: November 02, 2008 08:36:41 PM
I made cute little hairclips for my girls tonight.  They wanted me to make them something today, but I wasn't feeling like doing too much ... so, this is what we got.

I've blogged about them, also if interested.  Link in my signature.
