11  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Doggie sweaters (pic heavy) on: January 16, 2008 12:08:17 PM
So I am in an animal science class and had to do a helping animals project so usin my crafty knowledge I decided to make doggie sweaters for smaller dogs who get cold in the winter. I donated the sweaters to the Humane Society of Fairfax County (virginia) they said they'd probably sell them in their thrift store which helps with the medical expenses of all the animals they have. I used simplicty patern 3975 which I really like. So here they are.

Originally I made 7 but messed up with the velcro so theres only 6 the one in the top middle is for medium sized dogs.

This one is my favorite I think its super cute with the little hood

haha it looks like he's smiling

The small version

medium version (sorry its blurry, dogs are not very good models)

I had a ton of fun making these and everybody liked my project if only it would actually get cold enough to need them here its still pretty warm compared to other places.
Comments are appreciated thanks. Cheesy

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / what the heck is that? a Scoddie duh!!! on: December 15, 2007 01:05:18 PM
So ignore the pretty lame title but i love my new scoodie thanks soo much vegbee for your awesome tutorial it was soo easy to follow and understand heres the link for anyone that wants it http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2007/09/scoodie.html it was so easy it could definitley be a beginner project that doesn't look like a beginner project you know. The outside fabric is some fleece i got at joanns and the inside is really soft and fuzzy i donno what its called my receipt says soft and comfy in case anyone was wondering. so here it is

hood up

hood down (my arm looks weird but its in my pocket I don't normally hold my arm like that  Cool )

on floor showing lining fabric

the scoodie is reversible but i don't think i'll ever wear it the other way the outside fabric is just too cute and it matches a purse i made woot! (purse- https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=208990.msg2238203#msg2238203 )

I accidentaly got too much fabric so now i have a ton of these fabrics but i will definitley find something cool to do with them. if anyone has any ideas though id appreciate it. thanks everyone Cheesy
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Lion wristlet on: December 08, 2007 06:14:38 PM
So after being inspired by all of the wonderful wristlets by NameThatCandy https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=211828.0 and https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=212249.0 I decided I should try and make my own cause they look so cute and I just love them. So after surfing the web during my physics class when I should've been researching science fair stuff  Grin I found a bunch of tutorials and kind of jumbled them together and sorta made up some stuff and came up with this.

thats the amazing lining that I love. its so silky but its stretchy too. it was weird but we had it around so I used it

close-up of fabric. this was flannel and I'm making a matching tote bag

so tell me what you think. Oh this was my frist time doing pleats so they're kind of wonky but I think they're cute they're my favorte part  Cheesy

I'm going to add a snap to it too so nothing falls out but we didn't have any lying around so I actually would have to get up and go out to add the snap and I'm too lazy to do that  Cheesy
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / cute squirrel hoodie!!!! on: November 27, 2007 06:00:20 PM
So I finally got around to making a hoodie using gnacissej's tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177602.0

I used this cute flannel fabric from joann's. It was my first attempt at not using a bought pattern which actually turned out ok

hood up. (me trying to make sure im in picture and take picture at same time thus silly weird face Smiley )

hood down showing pocket that is too small but at least nothing will fall out of it.  Cheesy

closeup of hoodie fabric

closeup of hood lining which miraculously matched all colors in squirrel fabric.

if anyone ends up making this make sure you're sleeves are big cause mine ended up too small the first time  Roll Eyes but other than that the tutorial was wonderful. thanks gnacissej

Ok so just finsihed this purse and of course had to post it on here (first actual post)
I originally bought this fabric ot make a dress but never did so i made a purse

inside pocket such a pain forgot to sew it on at the right time and had to do it by hand  Roll Eyes

I did not actually sew the fabric together but it sure looks like I did

action shot

so tell me what ya think I love it but it's really stiff right now any suggestions on how to make it less stiff?
